Plow truck runs. Plowed some but not all of the snow. Go back to shop and cleaned up some. Waited for kid, she went to house and no one told me she landed. I was done. So her (my) car is in shop, will be nicely thawed for morning.

Morning! -29 this morning. Gas tank is back in, just have to pour gas in. Then plow driveway. Kid should show up in a couple hours.then i can see if i can get keyless entry to work.

Studebaker and Fargo are difficult to back up. Its like they are wedge shaped and i cant seem to steer em in a straight line.

Blood thinners and ibuprophen are a bad mix, ibuprophen is an anti-coagulent. I could end up in a really bad situation if i cut myself.

Well, i guess the T3’s are helping, extra strength tylenol wasnt doing much. Helps with sleep, unfortunately its mid-day :rolleyes:

Its almost a blizzard outside. Fetched the gas tank, now waiting for it to warm up a bit. Then get fittings off and pull pump out. Then upside down and prep/paint bottom of tank. As soon as i was old enough i mowed and raked the yard. Grass clippings went into compost. Then over to granny’s...

It does. But that doesent seem to matter. They douse our bridge here, has to cause an issue. I know there were holes rusted through the support webs that i would fit through, they rebuilt it abot 8 years ago.

Salted sand, dumped on centerline of highway. Really bad. The purpose of salt is to break the bond of ice to road surface so it can be cleared off the roads. But they leave it. In real cold weather with blowing snow, salt causes snow to stick to roadway. Then it creates a real hazard.

All boils down to who has to pay the bill at the end. A decent set of studless winter tires will get you through most driving conditions. Citys don’t care about the cars. I have been watching South Main Auto, on youtube and its crazy how bad cars can get in less than 10 years. In new york...

Morning! -20° and maybe snow today. Will be working on gas tank for the plow truck. Just prepping it to install. Being a used tank, who knows whats inside.

I think a diesel heater may run cheaper. At least here. $12 for pellets vs maybe a gallon of diesel.15 litres of diesel is $23.

Real cold tonight, -21°c. Pellet stove is keeping up, burning more pellets though. Glad i built the hopper extension, i’d be filling it 2x a day otherwise. Didnt realize it when i bought it, i would have bought a less fancy one to get the 120 lb capacity.

Farmer near town was blowing snow with pto in 1000 rpm instead of 540. Put that snow right back in the clouds where it came from. Quite impressive.

Made it to shop, fire is going, diesel heater is ripping, i think i could cook a chicken with that thing. Right side wheels off, treated some surface rust, waiting to paint it.

Sitting outside when its quiet at night i hear the ice “drumming” sometimes it makes eerie sounds like chirping. Other times it goes boom when the ice gets thicker.

Dr appt is done. Shes going after the Dr that looked after my case while i was in hospital, 2nd angio should have been done by now. And wanted to get me onto narcotics for the hip pain, im still not ready to give in. Got a script for T3’s.

Looked at some photos, bottom of front fenders,doors, cab corners are all rough. Open door photo it appears like its all covered in fibberglass..gotta love white, in the right light it hides stuff very well. Kinda runs, its old so i get that. I’d rebody it onto s-10 or dakota in a heartbeat...

Morning! -10, cold enough. Furnace not running and pellet stove is doing a fantastic job. I opened furnace to discover a wire burned off one element. So i will pull element, make sure its ok before i replace wire. Heavier gauge and heavy duty terminals may prevent it happening again. Spade...
