I'd get my radiator first, then take measurements ( after the motor is in) and try a clutch fan. If you can pick up an old day body shroud for a few bucks or you got one laying around it wouldn't hurt to mock it up and see if it works. I'd venture probably, But, if they change the accessory...

Definitely go 8.75 once the Power comes alive! Putting a floor shifter in a column shift, is better than converting from a floor shift. You wouldn't have to cut the shifter mounts off. I think there's a way you can get a sleeve if you can't find a floor shifted column it'll actually get rid of...

Your 904 is for a slant. You would need one from a 318, 360, or other small block.

I put a 195 in the 02 Ram 5.9 I had.. Napa Perscribed. Went back to a 180. Just to hot for mid south Fla. Didn't notice any adverse affects, just the temp a Lil lower!

Man, the one in my 02 Ram had 308k on Her. Original, never touched but the heads were replaced at Jerry Ulm Dodge.. had an Advance Auto China Hub take her out. Sucked. Still ran like a Raped Ape... I was the 2nd Owner....sent to Lqk. Seems like they bought almost all the yards up, Nationally...
