Extremely Dissapointed in my TTI exhaust and headers maybe someone can help with my fitment issues and provide some guidance

I have TTI 1 7/8 on my 69 Swinger and they fit fine . Might want to try a combination of thin and thick motor mount isolaters ? Call tti and ask them . If that doesn’t work find an exhaust shop near you that can tweek and install them .

    Stock manifolds to 3” exhaust

We are lucky to have a good exhaust shop still . I took them a Summit 3” kit for my 69 Swinger and they modified/installed it for what I consider really cheap ! And it fits fabulously ! I think it ran $300 labor back in 2019 . I was so impressed that I brought my 68 Barracuda back to them ...

Best recommendation on duster 340 stock exhaust TTI or Classic exhaust systems

I did the same as @4spragtop and got TTi headers and Summit 3” exhaust kit . Then had a local shop tweek the system . Looks f*cking incredible ! And they only charged me $300. Now this a W2 headed 408 wirh solid roller so 2.5” should be more than enough for your engine . Don’t sweat the...

Where to get pre bent exhaust pipes and any suggestions on how to swage them to fit over mufflers?

I bought a Summit 3” kit for my Swinger. Fit like **** so I brought it into Boise Muffler and they made it fit like glove and added a crossover for $300 ! Owner is a GTO fanatic and they do a lot of custom work . Couldn’t be happier !

Small block headers: worst to best fitting. List your experience.

I ran a set on my first W2 engine . Herb McCandless told me about them . In fact I think he ordered them for me .

Small block headers: worst to best fitting. List your experience.

Dougs 1 5/8 on my 68 Fastback with A/T , power steering and breaks . TTI 1 7/8 on my 69 340 4 sp Swinger with manuel brakes and steering . Both fit great ! If you drop the body on the engine/trany / k-member assembly like the factory they all fit better . And try truck isolators in some...

    Headers hitting idler arm

I went with a poly mount with was a bit taller . But you could just shim your existing one . You can also use truck isolators ( rubber mounts) which are taller than the car ones . But it looks like you could just get away with dimpling the header using a 3/4 + deep socket and grinding the...

    Headers hitting idler arm

I also dimpled the tube a tiny bit and used a die grinder with a red scotchbite on the offending tierod/ pitman/ idler arm . Just a small amount in each area will give you more than enough clearance .

    reducing exhaust drone

Not saying this is the case but I wonder how many droning issues are caused by an impropper tune ? My car was really loud at cruise until I got the timing and jetting dialed in .

    Tubular Automotive Headers

Is this for a street car ? I ran Tubular W2 headers on my 73 Sport and they werent all that low .... my current 1 7/8 TTi's sit a little tighter to the chassis but not much . And its seems I remember the Tubulars being 2" primaries but I could be wrong .

Muffler-can keep kinda quiet sounds off at rpm

My fastback is super sweet at all speeds windows open or closed . Dougs headers and 2 1/2 all the way back. The Dart with 3" is another story but I think I can tune some of that out .

    tti header oil pan fitment

Yes but I wouldnt think that would change the lower part of the header. I have changed a pan gasket and it was a Biotch ! Snug fit .

    tti header oil pan fitment

Pretty tight on driverside of my 408 with a Kevco pan. And it has no kickout . My TTi's are W2s so maybe they are different ?

    Header advice

I have Dougs on my 68 Barracuda with power steering and they are great . TTi 1 7/8 on my Dart with 4sp and manual brakes . They fit fine as well. Both are great headers but you will save money on the Dougs.

    TTI headers

They work and fit great . At least they did in my Barracuda. Remember that you can mix and match engine mounts to get more clearance where needed ... at least you can on the older pre spool mounts.
