I install LEDs in all my clusters ! These the old eyes see the old gauges . Lol I had to replace the heater core in my 93 Mazda B2600 last week ( well still working on it) so I popped LEDs in. Whole damn dash had to come out to get to core !

Well that splains where my tail light screws went .. lol

Oops I meant countersunk head cap screws

I used socket cap screws and turned down the heads for my tail light bezels. you can probably find the correct ones if you search hard enough.

Have you checked in the bezels for length?

These appear to be about 1/4” long tail light ones are 1”. Again.. I just ran accross some and spent some time trying to remember. That’s why I am interested. Need to know for my sanity ..lol

They are similar to 67-69 tail light bezel screw except smaller and shorter . I know what they are but can’t pinpoint it … spent a few minutes trying the other day . Dejavu

Just ran across a bunch f those while sorting fasteners the other day and couldn't remember either . They are dash related . Hmmm. Did you take your cluster apart ?

What do you mean “ long gone “ ?

There are no retractors . They mount thru the package try and are secured with dog bones under the package shelf. These were a very rare option offered from 68- 71ish . I have only seen 2 cars with them . These came out of a loaded 69 Charger R/T SE I foolishly parted out in the 80s.

There is still a pkg tray on folding seat cars . Its just shorter. You should be able to anchor the harness to it . It might be in the way a little when you fold down the seat .

Unless you are trying to stay completely original hardware stores will have the J-nuts and some type of bolt that will work. Might have to slim down the bolt heads on bench grinder a bit .

Oh … I was thinking it mounted on the outside and a plastic cover slid over it . Been a few decades since I redid a Dart Sport or Demon .

Have a member measure the distance from nearest bow and then use a fine sharp pick or long needle to find the hole.

I would definately restore that car to original . The importance of it goes beyond just the car world …it has historical social importance . I could see one being displayed at the Googenheim or even library of congress along side Beetles , Jummy Hendricks and Woodstock displays . Its the...
