The Jeg's and Summit kit work fine and quality is excellent. Both kits come from Hearthrob exhaust. Their website has installed photos.
You may want to check with the dyno operator. Some shops have headers with EGT probes and O2 bungs to help with fuel and timing adjustments.

I run the 2.5 Summit kit on my 340, it works great for the street and is quiet. I have manual cutouts and the car runs a tenth quicker uncapped.
Don't want to hijack but, how is the exhaust port match to the header inlets?
Heartthrob makes the Summit kit. Quality is great. Tail pipes are two piece in the kit. My 67 and 73 have the kit.
I have the regular mufflers that come with the kit on both of my cars. One has h pipe, one doesn't; no drone at all. Good quality exhaust kit.
My car ETs quicker with manual cutouts open.
I put the Summit 2.5 kit on my 73. It came with Hearthrob turbo mufflers in a white box. I added an H pipe and it toned it down a little.

you can make flat square shims 1/16" thick as needed. Cut a slot in the side and slide in between the motor mount and k frame.

If your motor mounts are old I would replace them first, then tweak the headers if you have to.
only the outer 4 studs/screws get them is correct. If you buy new studs make sure you the hardened grade.
