Dr Diff, no problems. i don't even redo the lines, just gently push the MC into position so they don't kink.

don't know about specifically where to hang it but i always bypass the radiator. some people claim you need to go through it so the trans fluid...

you can try replacing the check valve and seal at the booster where the hose connects, but dang, that's rusty :)

if by "fix", you mean "burn up the wiring so it's easy to find", i totally agree :). he'll find it, just need to trace it out
please, for the love of all that is electrical, don't just keep popping fuses in it. you need to crawl under there and start diagnosing this first
