It sounds like it was reved to high, If you are prone to race your car then get race worthy roller rockers, lifters, and push rods. Pick one that can take high rev limits. If you are putting stock style in you may want to put a rev limiter on.

Does this only happen when you are letting it down out of a rev. to idle? Or is it cutting out after startup?

BFG TA's are great for dry pavement and looks. That is it. If it is for a daily driver Big O legacys are the best for lasting and all around handling, but they are not a muscle car looking tire. If you are looking for a tire that looks good at lasts the Dunlop G/T Qualifiers are a great tire.

It looks to me that you are about 2 teeth off. Spin the distributor about 90 degrees then slide it back in and it should line up. But make sure that #1 piston is TDC otherwise it can fire when the piston is in down position.

If it is a Dart Sport you have to pull the weather stripping down and there is four phillips screws in the door jam. Then you have to pull the plastic and panel below the window and there is one more screw at the bottom rear of the window by the latch.
