Grassy, I have the same cam as you,In the literature i got from comp cams,it said on initial break in to use a Motor oil comparable to Shell rotella T,,I figure if it's good enough for the break in,,it's probably good enough for daily use.

What is the amount (percentage wise) of horsepower loss from crank to rear wheel.I heard it was about 40%,with a 727 trans.,,,less than that with a 904.and even less loss with a manual. So with a 400 horse motor,would i be getting about 240 horses at the rear wheels with a 727 trans?

When i ordered axles for my 8 3/4 out of a '67 van,the guy on the other end of the line told me they were the same width as E-body.dont know if that helps you or not.

Hello racers, I need some opinions,,,I believe i am getting valve float at about 5800 rpm. I have edelbrock performer rpm heads,,comp cam xe-268 h cam,,1.6-1 crane rockers. If i changed back to 1.5-1 stock rockers would that get rid of the valve float? should i add shims to the springs or get...

I would get the correct parts,,,,i bought a converter from someone because they had the same problem,,,,,they ordered a converter for a 904 trans.,,,but the hub was too big for the hole in the end of his crank,,,,it was a 273 crank. I would double check all your parts and get the correct ones...
