I drive mine everyday. That's why I bought it. The downside is other drivers, and what they can do to your car. OUCH.

    Rear End & Gear I.D.

Crackedback, Would the pinion gear that I have now with a set of 3.91's mate up with the 3.21's, or do I need to change pinions to change gears? Thanks, BlindSquirrel

    Rear End & Gear I.D.

Crackedback, I appreciate the help and advice. Is the swap from 8.25 rear to 8.75 rear just a drop out and bolt back in, or do I need to have parts fabricated for the swap? I don't plan on running the car hard, so a 741 would probably suit my purposes just fine. Thanks again, BlindSquirrel

    Rear End & Gear I.D.

Thank you to all that replied. I have an 8.75 rear end with a 741 center section. If i were to install that rear end, I would want to replace the 741 with a 742 or 489. Would the rear end swap be a simple bolt on replacement, or is there more involved? Thanks again for any help.

    Rear End & Gear I.D.

Hello, Guys and Gals, I need some help identifying my rear end, and an extra set of gears that came with the car. As you can see from the photos, the rear end is not a Mopar 8 3/4. The rear currently resides in a '67 Barracuda. As for the gears, the numbering that I can make out stamped into...

Hello Guys and Gals, I'm hoping that someone can help me out. Last week someone made a left turn from the right lane right into the side of my car. I need a new passenger fender and door for a '67 Barracuda Fastback. I'm located near Philadelphia, PA. Can anyone help? Thanks, BlindSquirrel

    Engine Identification

Hello, Guys and Gals, I need some help identifying my engine so that I can purchase new spark plugs and tune up the car. According to the previous owner, the car has a 360 crate motor, but I cannot verify the displacement or year. Can you tell me where to look for identification as to year...

    Crawdads are here!

Everytime I hear crawdads, I think about the Beverly Hillbillies episode where Grannie and Jethro are smoking crawdads. http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZgDHCt0-sc By the way, is that a Mopar in the closing shot? Glad you enjoyed your crawdads. BlindSquirrel

    Carb Help Needed

JoeDust, I have to claim ignorance. The Previous Owner could not tell me anything about the car other that the fact that it is a 360. I have been driving the car and working on it a little bit at a time, so I don't know anything about the carb or jetting. I would have to assume that you are...

    Carb Help Needed

    Carb Help Needed

Hello, Guys and Gals, I apologize in advance for sounding like an idiot, and not purchasing a "Holley Tuning" book yet, but stuff happens. I have a 1967 Barracuda with a 360 and a Holley 750 that I have been driving on a daily basis. The fuel pump was just replaced, and now when the car...

    Customizing a rally dash

Mullinax, I was thinking of using the AutoMeter Street Rod MCX gauges that you have used in your dash. I love the look of your dash - how hard was it to retrofit the gauges? Thanks, BlindSquirrel

    First Day!

Congratulations on your new job. You can't worry about what others are doing/saying, or you can never move ahead. Sometimes people change when they get a promotion, and maybe your co-workers assume that you have changed. Show them that you are the same caring person, and maybe they'll come...

    Leaking Windshield Gasket

I leak tested the windshield today. Had two leaks - one on passenger side, one small on drivers side. I added some sealant, and will check it again tomorrow. I also pulled out the carpet so that I can dry out the carpet and padding, and check the floor pans. Floor pans look good, so I'll...

    Leaking Windshield Gasket

Have a safe trip, and we'll expect to see pics when you get back. The butyl sealant that I used said that you can leak test immediately, so I hope that I'm OK. I guess I'll find out when I get home from work today. As for glass work, I'll defer to you as the expert.:-D

    Leaking Windshield Gasket

Sorry to hear about your leak. I hope you can fix it with some sealant. I'll check the car tomorrow to see if I have a lake inside or not.

    Leaking Windshield Gasket

After I got all the trim off, I checked out the gasket, and it appears that no sealant was used. The gasket moved pretty freely on the car body, and you could easily separate the gasket from the glass. You could also see the little openings in the body caused by the "tabs" that seat the...

    Leaking Windshield Gasket

64dart170, Thanks again for all the help. You are correct - glass is not broken, just leaking. Since I would have to pull out the glass to install the clips, I'm going to hold off on that, as you suggested. I'll try sealing the gasket to the glass, and see how that works, then go from...

    Windshield install???

Jeff, I am currently running a thread on windshield install - I need some help. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=93083&referrerid=11334 Several members have been helping me with this, and you should be able to get plenty of information from that thread, and the threads that...

    Leaking Windshield Gasket

As you can see, there don't appear to be any trim clips (or any sealant for that matter) at the windshield - see attached. I have also included a cut away of my understanding of how the trim clips work, since I haven't seen the clips with my own eyes. Please tell me if my understanding is...

    Leaking Windshield Gasket

The car is a '67, but the trim is '68. I'm assuming that the previous owner could not find a gasket for a '67, so he switched to a '68 gasket and trim but took a short-cut and glued the trim on, rather than installing the clips. It's dark here now, so I'll take some pics tomorrow afternoon and...

    Leaking Windshield Gasket

Thanks, again to all who are helping. I pulled of some of my windshield trim, and there are no clips in place. Trim was just glued on with sealant. It does not look like any sealant was applied to the gasket when it was installed. Do you think that holes could be drilled and trim clips...

    Leaking Windshield Gasket

I had originally suspected the wiper pivot seals, but before I could replace them I had the problem again. There is water puddling on the inside of the windshield gasket, and the only way I can figure that it got there is from the windshield.

    Leaking Windshield Gasket

Thank you to all who have helped. At least now I know that the car has a 68/69 windshield gasket and trim. 64dart170 - your thread on windshield replacement was very well done, and very helpful. I guess that I will try sealing the windshield with some butyl sealer first. If that fails, I'll...
