Installing Pushrods on 318 with 302's

Quick question, after tightening the stock rocker assembly, will there be the ability to rotate the pushrod when the lifter is at it's base? None of the pushrods I installed won't rotate at cam base but I was wondering if that is normal....

    Moby on a diet......

Adhering to the advice of others you said to get the most of a 318 also includes a diet. My '87 Fifth Ave which had a curb weight of 3750# is currently 3450#(measured) after a substantial diet. The above picture is yet another 30#s removed. I don't have any power rear windows now but hell...

500 miles later with my DIY 318 rebuild...

A car fire required me to remove the engine to replace burnt components. Complete wire harness, new ignition system, wipers to name a few. The faint of heart would of just junked the car, but of German descent, I am to stubborn and I saw an excuse to perform my alternative approach to rebuilt...

    Living with a 2.21....

I titled this thread, "Living with a 2.21" in reference to the gear ratio I have in my 7 1/4 rear. THE CAR: Yeah, I know. The car is a '87 Chrysler Fifth Ave. Not an A-Body. But it is has similar drivetrain and a hood ornament. The curb weight of "Moby" ( I call her that...) is 3750 lbs...

    How is this possible....

This is a pic of my GM HEI distributor for my LA 318. How in the hell does oil find it's way into the housing? Using standard Melling Oil pump with 40 PSI cold. IS oil spraying out of the intake china wall and into the Vacuum advance canister mounting area....? No idea....

Lets spec out a roller cam for my LA 318

I have an '87 Chrysler 5th Ave. Yes, I realize this isn't an A-Body, but when it comes to spec'ing out a camshaft for the 318 small block, the rules apply to any Mopar body. About the car: Current Curb Weight - 3450 lbs I removed a lot of unnecessary weight and weighed it myself Rear Axle...
