    Fiberglass hood mods... crazy?

Sounds like your thinking a little more clearly now lol....I would also go that route before cutting up a good hood. I had a chincy little pin down lift off hood that looked like it was an ebay hood or something....very little material, but probably just what you would need,I could left it off...

    Duster Lower Quarter Pics

No problem...I think you have a great starting point either way. Just some minor tweaking and some filler work and I dont see why you could not pull it off. Good luck!

hmm,not sure...something just does not look right... might just be me I guess. Looks good, just a little off somewhere...having trouble pin pointing it without something to reference it to.

    Duster Lower Quarter Pics

hmmmmmm, looks CLOSE but not quite right I would say, it almost looks like you need to bring the bottom of the patch in towards the trunk pan. It kind of looks like the body line has disappeared like the patch is to straight up and down "boxy" I guess. and I think the roll on the bottom of the...

    Any input?

Thanks for the input so far guys, I just don't have time for a scam or something and I figured I better check in with the rest of fabo to get the scoop on him and see if anyone knew if he was a good guy and if he was serious about the hole deal. I contacted rumble, I am just waiting for a reply.

    Any input?

Ok guys, I wanted to ask everyone a few questions as I am sure most of you are more familiar with him than I am. Motopsycho pm'ed me and the subject title was " you won " So I opened it and he had said that he picked me as the winner of his "mystery box" ( from what I gather ,its some stickers...

    Fiberglass hood mods... crazy?

Alrighty then, glad theres no confusion lol. And your right, the only way to know for sure will be to do it and learn from it....But I have thought about it and I think its doomed to fail for atleast one reason. And that reason is... At high speed when you want to evacuate this air pressure the...

    Fiberglass hood mods... crazy?

I guess I am not quite sure what it is that your looking for here?. You came to the thread asking questions and looking for answers and you brought an idea to the table and it seems that everyone that has given you ideas or given you an opinion on your idea......you have turned them down and...

    Fiberglass hood mods... crazy?

I actually dont think this is a half bad idea either....you could do as mentioned and put in louver venting on the sides of the fenders or you could be indiscrete about it and cut your holes at the bottom the fenders on the underside facing the ground,so that all would appear to be stock but you...

    Fiberglass hood mods... crazy?

Ya that is with the tail gate closed.....They did a test on tail gate down to,but I can't remember what the outcome of that was, I think it was worse then tail gate up and worse then a tonnuea cover...but not 100% ,been awhile since I seen that episode

    Fiberglass hood mods... crazy?

Not sure if anyone had noticed but i mentioned earlier on the use of a belly pan do drop engine bay pressures. it would be fairly simple to make your own and you could do it without having to vent the hood. Just make a :belly" pan for it and on the firewall side of the pan you fab up, take and...

    Fiberglass hood mods... crazy?

It actually does make a pretty noticeable difference , I built a (pardon my language) 93 chevy silverado GT stepside short bed regular cab 350 v8 auto race truck and ran the ram air ducting on it....truck ran very nice and had a good bit more of get up and go to it. As for the cooling aspect...

    Fiberglass hood mods... crazy?

yes as a matter of fact it is. I sat in my lawn for 8 hours detailing this sketch to what it has become. Quite nice if i do say so myself!

    Fiberglass hood mods... crazy?

I honestly don't think that driving down the road you will have that much heat in your engine bay..you always have wind rushing in from underneath and the fan blowing in there. The only thing venting the hood would do is maybe cool it down a few extra degrees but not enough that in my opinion...

What to use for the transmission cooling lines

Well atleast you can count it as one more tool to add to the box for future use!. did the kit come with everything to cut and flar and double flare and bend and everything?

What to use for the transmission cooling lines

WOW......how much did the line tool alone cost? because you can get them locally for a decent price at the autoparts store and I have a couple kits....I could have sent you one for a cheap price too!

What to use for the transmission cooling lines

I have ran rubber and hard lines before....either way will work, but rubber can be troublesome. You will most likly have to deal with leaks at one point or another and if you do run rubber you do not want to run it the entire length...only a 3 inch piece or so in between metal line and even...

Super noisy valvetrain in my Magnum 5.9

hmmmmm...not to sure, its one of those things thats hard when your not hands on with it. Do you happen to have an old junk valve cover laying around? if so,cut the top off of it and then mount it to the head and run the engine (valve covers so you dont make a mess with oil)....and see if you...

where am I looking for debris at? and should i be looking for problem areas under the dash or under the hood or? I have not looked around real good with a flash light but i have looked through the vent in the cowl and not seen any debris and the car is a very solid car so i am doubting it being...

Super noisy valvetrain in my Magnum 5.9

If you have tossed lifters and pushrods in the hole thing....I guess the next thing would be to by a new set of springs. If you reved it that high you may have weekend the springs,if there a stock style spring that isnt designed for that high of a rpm range. Or possibly reving that high you...
