[FOR SALE] Bunch of Mopar Parts

think shipping rates have gone way up over the years. Depends a lot on how far they have to ship it too. UPS wanted $70 to ship a couple of brake drums from mass to NM, Post Office was up about that high too but found out I could fit 1 drum into the $16.85 ship anywhere/anyrate boxes so cut the...

[FOR SALE] Bunch of Mopar Parts

It's 2.76 open gears in 741 case, has snubber on it also. You would have to come up to get it though. Shipping would be way up there. I had dropped the price down to $75 just to get rid of it. I never used it, was going to put it in to cut down the highway RPM but never got around to it.

    Car dies

agree, check spark once it dies. I used to keep a good old plug around, laid it on the master cylinder and turned it over. Once it was a bad coil that failed when it got a little warm, the other was the ignition module ground. I put a wire on one of the 2 bolts that held down the ignition module...

[FOR SALE] Bunch of Mopar Parts

I'm trying to pass on the good deals. For some reason, my private messages aren't letting me reply to everyone even though they are showing as sent. This is the only problem I've ever had with this web site. A lot of good people out there sharing info.

[FOR SALE] Bunch of Mopar Parts

Guess there is a limit on how many PM posts you can do a day, I've tried replying to a few, I see it in sent messages but I don't see the PM being updated, also sent out some PMs and haven't gotten any replies, maybe reply to the Craigslist listing I have and I'll get back with you. Rockers and...

[FOR SALE] Bunch of Mopar Parts

I sold my car for a major loss -- too much body work needed by me. So now selling off my remaining parts for a cheap price for all. Please look at at on Craigslist, prefer local pick up, don't want to deal with shipping, that's why parts are cheap if you buy them all. Thanks...

pending sell, going to miss it but I'm just not up to the bodywork.

160 cranking psi; advance the cam or run it?

I read somewhere in here that advancing the timing increases compression and gives you more low end - won't rev as high, decreasing it gives you more RPM and better top end. With a 3500 stall, wouldn't you want more RPMs? Guess the best way would be to change it and take it to the track and see...

    What's needed to go stroker?

why not just get this from summit and have it bored 30 over to take pistons?? Says already balanced Scat Engine Rotating Assemblies 1-48015BI

    TransGo TF 2

put one in mine and shifts much better but still get a little 2-3 flair up once in a while, just changing the fluid before the shift kit helped out for that also, mine probably needs a rebuild but holding off on that. I usually just go through 1st and 2nd and let off before shifting into 3rd -...

air gap install, guide pins on deck!!!

Yep, I pulled mine out with a pair of needle nose, think they are only about 1/4" long if memory serves. Don't even think I used the gasket for the valleys either, just put some black rubber gasket from Autozone on there, hardened up fine, no leaks.

    new ignition problem

just put the key in the run position and check voltages on the ballast - should have ~12V on one side - if not, it's ignition switch or wiring to it. I had something similar a long time ago and the run wire was broken at the connector on the firewall.

    Cutting open a torque converter

thought the started bolted to the tranny, guess your building a fixture for that also

    Vibration in drivetrain

sure it's the drivetrain and not the front end. Jack it up and set the rear axles on jack stands where tires are off the ground.(Car pointed in a direction where it won't hit anything if it falls off). Put it in drive and slowly rev it up to 70-80, still vibrate? And please don't have anyone...

    904 help

too bad your not closer, I got 67 904 and torque converter off my 273 just sitting under my deck I'd let you have cheap - shipping would probably be more than I want for it. Worked fine when I took it out. Still have the 273 also - pulled it out, was a HiPo but whoever rebuilt it 30 over put...

    engine hesitation

I tried a couple of different smaller Holleys on mine - with 273 then current 360 motor and I never could get rid of that hesitation right above idle I think your talking about. I have 3 different Edelbrocks and none of them have that. Rebuilt the Holleys, even bought the 50cc accelerator pump...

    360 w/J heads-need help deciding

Sounds like quite the deal, find it hard to believe he'll sell all that plus a 904 for that price. I'd be all over that if I was closer. And while your at it, if the heads are off and motor is apart, why not zero deck the block and mill the heads to get compression up. Would think that machine...

    PRW Rocker Arms ??

I got the same ones but used for a la360 for $75 off Craigslist a few months ago. Needed a couple of small parts for them, called PRW and they were very nice to talk with and got me what I needed for cheaper than I thought they would charge. Still only have around $100 invested. Don't know if I...

    intake manifold end seals

all I use too, cork seems too thick. I want to make heads seal well, had one once that didn't seal and got water in the motor, almost ruined motor.

    68 GTS won't stay running

if it's electrical, might be coil. had balast hooked up wrong once and had too much voltage going to coil, was doing same thing your describing. I keep an old plug and when mine won't start I pull the wire off one of the plugs, put on the old one and sit it on something metal like the brake...

    1st time engine removal

took mine out as a whole by myself with an engine hoist, pulled off the hood, disconnected everything, pulled radiator, distrib, sealed off rear of tranny so didn't leak fluid everywhere, pulled out easier than I thought it would - had a good tilt to motor/trans when it came out
  29. B

    Bad pinging issue?

guess you could always pull the heads and put on the thickness head gasket you can find to lower compression a little
