341 Desoto hemi into 67 Valiant.

I'll use the 69 hood as the plug. A draft angle will be made along the sides of the hood plug using Bondo. PVA will be the mold release along with wax. Strips of balsa will be used as stiffeners or I will use a special type of foam sheet to thicken the final product to make it stiff. Dumas...

The car is a 67, but I got a 69 hood and grill assembly. The 67 has an assembly running down through the grill assembly that holds the hood hold down. That gets in the way of the intercoolers. No room for the tranny cooler, so I got a glass bumper and the cooler will fit in the bumper.

I'll make a mold of the hood and do one from glass. It will have the openings. can't afford am AAR piece.

I'm gonna make a mold off the original hood and make a fiberglass piece with holes for all the parts that protrude above the hood line. I could get a glass hood from AAR, but it would have to be chopped up really bad. Don't plan to hide much at all.

How difficult was it to remove the trunk lid with the torsion bar tension?

This happened to me once. Turned out that old fuel had turned hard in the sending unit. Tried several different chemicals to dissolve the stuff out. Was OK after that. Pull the hose before the pump and see if you can suck gas through it. That's how I discovered the problem.
