    HEI in Mopar ECU casing

I bought some cheap amplifier boards (LM3886) from HK, and they were fakes, left negative feedback. The seller complained bitterly and said he checked with his supplier and was guaranteed that they were genuine parts and they only sold genuine parts. All the components were fake. I hear that the...

    1.5L/90ci Blower On A Slant

I'm using a 2" S.U. on a draw through. Running AVGAS. I know "everyone" says the coating will come off in a draw through but even if it does the difference will be minimal. But... I would do a blow through setup in your situation, M112...aftercooler...holley. And water/meth pre blower and post...

    1.5L/90ci Blower On A Slant

That's right, I wasn't saying the tvs 2300 is the same size as an M90, just that there is a newer, more efficient design available from eaton. And they are being factory fitted so they are becoming a viable alternative to the more readily available m112, m90.

    1.5L/90ci Blower On A Slant

Eaton have a newer design blower out, the TVS 2300, it has more twist on the lobes making it more efficient as well as 4 lobe rotors. These guys are getting over 350hp out of a Porsche 3.6 air cooled with a M90 http://www.tpcracing.com/porsche-964-and-993-supercharger-kit.html But water/meth...

    Vk valiant 142 weiand project

Hi, I didn't see mentioned that you are using water/meth injection. This would be the next upgrade I would be doing. 12800rpm is getting to be about the max for a straight lobe blower, anymore rpm will be unlikely to produce more power because of the heat produced. You used to be able to get a...

    318 draw through build

Exhaust gases will flow to the point of least resistance which is the turbo outlet, not the other cylinders. The exhaust gases might be "crashing" into each other but they'll get over it and exit out the turbo. Your setup wardy is the way you want to be doing it, but for what bakerlite is...

    318 draw through build

I'm not sure what size the header pipes are, they look to be 1 5/8" but the gases are flowing through both so you have 2x 1 5/8" pipes that all the other 6 cylinders are flowing through then meeting up with #3 and 5. This approach certainly isn't the most efficient but for what Bakerlite is...

    318 draw through build

I think you need to forget header theory when dealing with a turbo as the turbo will be the biggest restriction in the exhaust, think of log headers versus tuned headers. tuned headers don't gain much over a log design when pushing through a turbo. So cylinder #1 and #7 join up with #2,4,6,8...

    318 draw through build

I think you're overthinking it, all exhaust exits the turbo it just takes a few twist and turns to get there. Anyway that's how I see it.

    318 draw through build

This exhaust setup does look confusing... But the left bank and the right bank are joined and all exhaust gases exit via the 2 center left exhaust pipes through the turbo. At first glance it does look like it would be restrictive but no more so than going through the turbo. Bakerlite has...

    Dyno testing a stock(?) 1972 440

This is really interesting stuff. A question I have is about the increase you picked up from the carb. I'm assuming it had a TQ on it which are supposed to be close to 800cfm. If the TQ was running properly than the HP figures shouldn't be that much different. Or am I missing something.

Everything you said is true, but once you own one you'll be hooked. The Dart is my second convertible and when the weathers nice, morning or evening drives are awesome. And if you have kids (I have 3 under 10) they will love it too. I don't know what other american made convertibles are like...

    aussie 408 combo

Do you need to consider getting some heat into the inlet manifold? Cold starts in the middle of winter could be a *****. Use to **** me on the Melbourne winters. I bought a M1 dual plane for this reason as it has water heating on the manifold but I've now shifted up north so this isn't a...

Just an FYI on the rods. I purchased a set of scat I beams ($270) for a 408 that I'm building and about 3 of the rods had to be resized. So buying new doesn't always guarantee they'll be perfect. If you go ARP bolts on your old rods they will have to be resized.

I would be using 98 at those prices as well. Also, (I'm sure you all know) 98 in euro is same as 93 in usa. I would aim for 9.5-10:1 comps on iron heads using that fuel. If you're going to put money into a set of iron heads I would also suggest getting the edelbrock heads. They are not that...

my first engine rebuild (318) advises

Hi, when I rebuilt my cousins 318, the biggest problem was the variation on the deck height. We had to remove a fair bit to square up the decks. Also, I didn't see mention what grade of fuel you will be using. If you're after fuel economy very hard to beat a Q-jet.
