When I asked while the motor was being built the part number they gave me was for the 1 at extra capacity with baffles. Im not arguing or anything cause ground clearances will be an issue with my setup. I was just wanting a clarification as to what I received.

Thank you! Im the type of guy that likes to do things the right way. I don't want to grind on my brand new axle shafts or smack them with a hammer to realign the splines. All I wanted was a bit of info on the disassemble and reassemble plus torque specs.

The only reason they recommended removing the thrust block is because my housing is an 1/8" narrower than stock a body.

The video I watched said you did have to take it apart to line up the spline but I also have to remove the thrust block anyways as recommend but the staff at Dr Different.

The guy that setup my 489 with new bearings and new 3:73s didn't get the splines lined up or removed the thrust block for my new green bearing axles. I was thinking about taking the SG apart to remove the thrust block and realign the splines. Does anyone have a good link to a write up or video...

68 Valiant with hellwig 1.125 front sway bar, pst 1.03" torsion bars, Bilstein shocks, homemade sub frame connecters, hotchkis protour rear leaf springs, and riddler 650 17" wheels.

Current rear is a BBP 7.25. I had a 68 B body 8.75 but traded it for an A body 8.75 housing.

I've pretty well decided on the 17" ridler 650. 17x7 with 4" bs front 205/50R17 and 17x8 4.5" B's rear with 245/45R17 or 245/50R17. Wait for the measuring tool to show up before I make any final decisions.

I'm looking more and more into ordering 17s for my 68 valiant that has bbp disc brakes up front, bbp 7.25 rear (eventually 8.75). I'm running a hellwig 1.125 sway bar and 2800 as springs. In a 17x7 about what back spacing would I need to fit a 205/40R17 and a 245/45R17? Sorry if rhis question...

The rear wheel opening on the valiants and darts are a bit different. I don't have quite as much room as the dusters but more than the darts. The fronts are what I'm more worried about.
