I have that cam in my 340, seems to work pretty good. Mine is installed at 102. Why do you say it is too tight of a centerline for full exhaust? Just curious, I was thinking of changing the cam to the 508/292 hydro.

What kind of rockers are u using? I have the 273 rockers on my 340 and I had the same thing happen, I put new adjusters with nuts so they don't come loose. You can buy just one pushrod, either MP or crane offers them for like $6.00.

I used one off a 90ish chevy cavaleir. It has a shroud and fits the 22 inch radiator really well, covers almost all of it. cools well also.

Got my FBO ignition kit installed today. The MP box I had was retarding timming at high rpm. What a difference it makes to have total timming through the rpm range! It will be interesting to see how it does at the track. I hope I can get there in the next couple weeks.

I think I found the problem, the orange ecu is retarding the timing at higher rpm. I locked out the distributor and then set initial at 20degrees. I reved up the motor and at 2500rpm it retarded 4-6 degrees! Anyone think a chrome box would be better? Or could a weak alternator or battery cause...

Thanks for the pic. I was in moparts and a member said the boxes have some degree of retared at high rpm, I am going to lock it out and see what it does then. Or possibly the advance is sticking a little. I think an MSD box would help.
