    column Shift

    My 62 has 3 on the tree and it got real hard to shift from 3/2 to 1/r. When I opened the column I found the little reinforcing tab on the shift tube had broken off. Can it be rewelded? With out pulling the column?

    I need backing plates and drums for a 7 1/4 diff with 9 bolt cover and 5 bolt bearing retainers. It will be going in a light duty /6 62 valiant built for mpg so do not need great big honkers. I'm in York NE. Don't really need the drums (can buy new if I'm sure which ones go with the plates.
