    Converter- 67 273/904

Remember, the stall test for converters must be done in high gear (which requires a manual valve body) for an accurate stall estimate. The converter has the most leverage against the engine then and it will stall to its maximum. It's all explained in the MP books. So your 1600-1800 could be...

    Another bad weekend

Much appreciated, but Daddy's been gone since 98. Lung cancer got him. The appendix thing happened when I was a kid. But I can tell you this. He had chronic back pain all his life that I knew of. After the appendix was removed, it never bothered him again.

    Intake manifold questions

I thought that was a feature on just about all intake manifolds to make up for the backwards tilt of the engine and transmission to achieve proper drive line angles.

He has video and pictures up now where he's gotten the deck pressed in and sealed with aircraft sealant. He left it in a press with 400 PSI on it for a time until it cured. After which, he pressure tested it and so far, it's held to 30 PSI. I believe his next step is to deck the block and then...

    Anyone know about International Scouts???

I'll tell you simply how to teach her to drive a stick. Teach her to ride the clutch. Find a SMALL incline and teach her to hold the truck still on it. Make her do it until she masters it. It won't take long. That's what everybody gets mixed up on. They try to teach people not to ride the clutch...

What head gasket was it using? I'd just "guess" mine is around 200HP give or take right now and frankly, I couldn't be happier with how the car performs.

    Anyone know about International Scouts???

Their drive trains are some serious sheeot, but your point is a good one. Also, I'll add this. IH gas engines were also notorious for leaking from every available seal and gasket and I think they made some new ones up. lol But that doesn't mean they were bad vehicles. Quite the contrary. They...

Yes sir. Find a known good spot and then when you think you see a suspected area you can test that and have a comparison.

Make SURE to inspect it CLOSELY for rust as they were total rust buckets. Just no denying it.

    Battery/Alernator issue

Remove the negative cable and put the meter between the cable and negative post and see how much of a draw you have. I don't think it should be over .5 volts. If it is, start removing fuses one at a time until the voltage falls off. If nothing in the fuse box affects it, you'll want to start...
