1969 225 auto Valiant Fuel Tank and Sending Unit

I solved the fuel tank question. One was for carb and the other for EFI, so that was easy. I just need the correct inlet and outlet dimensions of the factory OEM fuel sending unit. If no one knows them offhand, can someone possibly provide me with a part number? Thanks again for any help with this.

1969 225 auto Valiant Fuel Tank and Sending Unit

Yes, my gauge doesn't work. Since I'm replacing the tank, I'd probably change it out anyway.

1969 225 auto Valiant Fuel Tank and Sending Unit

Hello all. I need to replace my fuel tank and sending unit. There are two types of tanks. One has evaporative emissions and one does not. I'd guess that it uses the one without???? There are also many different sizes of sending units. I'd appreciate it if someone can confirm the correct parts...

Need Exhaust From Manifold To The Bumper for 225 Slant Valiant

Thanks for the reply. Yes, they look like the 2 that I saw on the web. I'll report back and let you know what I decide to do.

Need Exhaust From Manifold To The Bumper for 225 Slant Valiant

Found a few systems online for about $325 shipped. Another member messaged me also, so I have a few options. I'll figure out something.

Need Exhaust From Manifold To The Bumper for 225 Slant Valiant

Hi everyone. I hope all is well with you and your rides. Inspection has come up and I need a complete exhaust for my 225 slant Valiant, less the manifold. I'd like to keep the same diameter as the manifold so it doesn't get choked down. Can anyone recommend a system that is an easy bolt-on...

    Alternator Replacement

    Alternator Replacement

I have a separate wire with a fusable link going to my amp.

    Alternator Replacement

Alternator - Remfd - Standard 45 A This is what I'm looking at. Is the voltage regulator a standard piece, or does it vary depending upon amperage? Thanks again.

    Alternator Replacement

Thanks for the info. Well now you've basically scared me into a 45. What is the standard amperage for a stock 69 slant anyway? Again, I'm good at lifting things, matching threads, torquing bolts evenly, gapping plugs, draining n replacing fluids.....blah blah blah. In no way would I ever...

    Alternator Replacement

And also, it's a 225 slant. Think 50 is safe without replacing components or blowing them out?

    Mid-Atlantic Car Shows

Hey everyone. Just wanted to let you know that the Carlisle, PA car show is this weekend. Also, there's the beers and gears meet at Delaware park on May 12th. I heard Carlisle is awesome. Beers n gears sounds great to me. Never been to either. Hope I at least make 1 of em....Thanks for all...

    Alternator Replacement

Thanks for the reply man. It's a 300w amp btw. My friend also said to replace the voltage regulator, but didn't mention bulkhead connector/bypass. I replaced and checked the ballast resistor if that's what you mean. Obviously I'm not a mechanic, so excuse my ignorance.

    Alternator Replacement

Hi everyone. My good mechanic friend confirmed that my alternator is smoked. Metal powder shavings on the back. I'm running an audio amp. Should I go with a stronger 60amp alternator, or will it start frying the rest of my electrical system? Its an all original design. Thanks for the help.

Mopar Windshield Gasket 68-76 Dart 2 DR/4 DR SEDAN #1226 | eBay Found this on ebay. Listing description sounds like it will work for my car, but when I enter the year, make and model to cross reference, it says not supported......Can Anyone confirm?

    Windshield Ribbon Gasket

It's $200 installed, not including the gasket. They have one windshield in stock. Jack's auto glass and salvage 61st and Passyunk Ave in South Philly. Please don't go there until November. I really need this windshield hahahahaha:p

    Windshield Ribbon Gasket

Thanks a lot man. I'm guessing the original gasket is old and brittle. Will order this right now.

    Windshield Ribbon Gasket

So apparently it doesn't use a ribbon gasket? The only gasket/seals I see for a 69 dart(guessing it works for Valiant) are for 2 door hard tops or convertibles. Someone mentioned a rope style gasket in another post. I have 1 month to get this windshield in. Anyone know what I need to make this...

    Windshield Ribbon Gasket

Hi everyone. I need a windshield to pass inspection. I wanted to replace the gasket as well. I see 2 sizes online--3/8 and 5/16. Anyone happen to know which is the correct size for my car? Thanks for the good info as usual.

    Duster Seats In a Valiant?

No, something much more simple. I looked at it a little closer. Behind the vinyl is actually another metal bracket, not seat cushion. There is a small square hole in the exposed outer bracket. I am going to drill it through the inner bracket behind the vinyl and throw a lag bolt in each side...

    Duster Seats In a Valiant?

I'd like to lock out the seats with some type of stop bracket so that they don't fold forward. Anyone have any ideas on how I might easily do this?

    Duster Seats In a Valiant?

Well actually I guess my question is........... Do you have to do any modifications to mount a 74 bench seat with the 2 individual backs and armrest into a 72 duster? And would it bolt right into my 69 Valiant? I'm guessing by all of the replies that it will. I just don't know if the 72...

    Duster Seats In a Valiant?

Well I picked up the front and rear bench seats for my car today. Turns out the build sheet says they are from a 74. I'm guessing if the 74 fit in a 72, and the 72 will work in my 69, that the 74 will still bolt in with no probs. Would appreciate confirmation before I rip my original out...

And btw, also saved a ton from Rich007 on here. He hooked me up with a rear when mine was totally blown. The wheel literally popped out at like 40-45 mph hahahahaha. Thanks dude!!!!!:thankyou:

    Need A Good Master Cylinder

Thanks I appreciate the response. $100 is a bit steep, but better than wasting another $50 or worse yet, smashing into someone on the highway(almost did that with last MC:eek:). I'm doing the labor on it myself again, so I'm saving there. I've saved so much on so many jobs for this thing...
