I am getting ready to rebuild my first automatic transmission a 904 LA and was wondering if there are any interchangeable parts between the 727 and the 904 transmissions? I have a good mechanic who has rebuilt several 727s just needing information on parts interchange.

I have a 5.9 380 crate motor in a 71 Demon street car. M1 intake Holley 750 DP Mopar eletronic dirstributor and box 410 gears MT drag radials 275 60s Header & x pipe 3" mufflers and turnouts 3000 converter run 4.80s at local 100 yard track Have not had it on a 1/8 or 1/4 mile yet.

I have a Mopar Performance 380 HP crate motor in my Demon, the compression ratio if I am not mistaken is 9.3 to 1. I have a M1 intake with a holley HP 4150 750 cfm DP. Your estimate is probably closer than you think.

The guy at Promax likes the Eagle kits as well. Just wanted to know if one combination worked better than others. I guess good parts, and part selection with a good local machine shop is the key to a good strong motor.

I have the same motor in my demon. I had to put drag radials on it just to keep it straight when I punched it. a good tune up and this is a strong motor.

I suggest getting a 8.75 sure grip with a 3.91, stall needs to be a 3000. this will let the engine get to the horsepower and torque curve faster. :snakeman::snakeman:
