Post up your Early 64-66 Barracudas!

That is a thing of beauty. Australia really missed out. The only two door we got back then was the ute.

A boy and his Station Wagon..

Here's a tip that I did. If you flip your spare wheel upside down, then you can use a shorter bolt to hold it in. You can also carry a spare jacket inside (a bag inside) the wheel for rain or cold. I love the look, but i just cant help feeling she needs another 1.5 inches of height at the...

    Best coil? GT40R, or SU12R?

Awww guys, this has to be one of the nicest offers EVER. But i've already received my Bosch GT40R, $42 AUD to my door. Granted, if it doesn't do 'tha job' then i'll be coming back to ya to see if the offer stands. So i've got replacement dizzy rotor, points set, coil and cap. already...

    Best coil? GT40R, or SU12R?

Thanks man, but those are really expensive options here in Aus. I'll stick with the Bosch GT40R i think. Folks on the Mopar forum here [in Aus] say it's better than stock . . .

    Best coil? GT40R, or SU12R?

Any tips? So my coil has packed it in. Should I go the Bosch GT40R, or the SU12R? Any prefs?

    Front quarter vents?

I have found Year One have replacement front quarter vent weatherstrips for early A 'verts and hardtops - does anybody know if the seals would suit my 1966 four-door? Otherwise, any tips for repairing my quarter vents? the wind noise coming off them is a real put-off at highway speed! Cheers.

Video - stock slant six, open pipes

i'll get a proper vid of it soon. my four year old is more likely to run away than hold the camera still! best sound EVER - 80km/h, second gear over-run rolling downhill through the Burnley Tunnel here in Melbourne. I swear it sounds like flames are spitting out from underneath the car...

Post Early A-body wheel/tire combos here

The following model ('VE', 1967) was the first fully Australian designed Valiant. Well, it still takes a lot of US cues, but . . . The VC (mine) was a very short model run and is very much loved here for its unique style. It used the small early A floorpan while the VE stepped up the...

Video - stock slant six, open pipes

here's my stock slant six, with 70,000 miles, performance air cleaner, 2 1/4" system from stock manifold and electric exhaust cut-out just under passenger seat.

Post Early A-body wheel/tire combos here

Thanks. This is my fourth '66 VC Valiant - three white slant six sedans (blue interior, red interior and now brown interior) and one black V8 'goon. It's funny, 'cause I would KILL for a matching '66 two-door - Barracuda or Signet. I've always loved yours! The only early A two-doors we had...

Post Early A-body wheel/tire combos here

Australian 1966 VC Valiant. Be nice, she is an early A-body. New Maxxis MA1's. 185/75's on front, 215/70's on custom 6" rims on the back (sitting nice and snug around 1/4" away from the leaf spring).

    Dumper.

Well, as you can tell the main 2.25" is pretty darn old and will be replaced when I go to the twin carbs and extractors (what you call long-primary headers). It's on a stock 225 at present - only changes are the 2.25" pipe from the stock exhaust manifold, and a performance air cleaner. I...

    Dumper.

Thanks Big Al. It sounds pretty damn hot, even on a stock /6. just wait till I (finally) do the twin carbs and extractors!

    63-66 Valiants

    63-66 Valiants

Right, that's it. I'm sooo telling the Ministry of War and Finance we're getting us one of them US 2-doors! Preferably slant 6 auto soft-top. Alpine White, to match our 67 VC Regal. Wish me luck, fella's.

A boy and his Station Wagon..

Maybe they were more of an Australian option?
  28. mfdu

A boy and his Station Wagon..

No, I mean the 'skirts' that go over the upper wheel arch: and here's what they look like on (someone else's) Aussie ute. lastly, our old 'goon, which i always wanted to re-do the 6" rims so i could fit them under spats like above:
  29. mfdu

A boy and his Station Wagon..

just an idea, but to my mind it'd be awesome if you put spats on the rear wheel arches (you might need to rebuild the steelies with less offset). i always wanted to put spats on my '66 'goon, but didn't get a chance (she got written off before the rolling resto was finished)
