Slowly getting some things done on the R3. Filed the rings this morning so if everything goes according to the plan, the pistons will be in the block this afternoon.
Nothing to update on the aluminum block. It’s next in line after the R3 is done.
Way too much thinking and useless reading. Put on a 750 Holley and be done with it. The engine will only use what it wants to use. Simple as that.
The overthinking and research some of you guys do makes my head hurt.
I don’t remember all specs , would have to look them up.
Solid Aluminum block
Diamond pistons around 15.5:1
GRP aluminum rods
Nickens sheet metal tunnel ram
CFE W8’s
can’t remember cam specs but I think 850-870 range
It would be nice to buy but I have the toilet set up already.
I won’t go back to a carb. I have no issues with the MFI. I have the primer plus system on my car so starting is easy.
sure does. i've seen the same pictures for a few years already. all depends on the day for the price. one day it's $3500 and the next day it's $4000.
i don't want to see anybody lose $ or get scammed.
There is a reason that block has been for sale for a LONG time. He also has W5’s with wide valve covers for sale for a LONG time. Same pictures with different names. I would be cautious
i think it's fair to say the Bloomer heads are the real deal. the AMX proves it. 9.40's is very respectable for only a few passes. i was going to talk Vic about his heads but i got lucky and picked up W8's from a friend.
I was a bit upset with the 286 cfm in the beginning since I told him I needed the “magical 300 cfm” and he chuckled at me. I’m more then pleased with the 286 cfm.
