I’m surprised factories would take the time to repair such a small piece instead of just chucking it into the scrap metal bin.

I would have thought auto makers back then would have been more focused on the “time is money” aspect of the business, and have used only sheet metal parts that came out of the stamps without any damage, especially small pieces.

This corner trim looks like it had a stress crack when it was formed and the crack was repaired with brass. Has anyone come across similar repairs on metal trim?

I have a quick question. I was told to use an acid etch primer on plastic before painting but only if it’s unpainted plastic. My Barracuda has factory red plastic trim. Is it safe to use the acid etch primer on it or would that cause the red finish to bubble? Thanks in advance.

In reference to the dash pad … So no one sees a problem shooting a solvent based vinyl paint over a water based finish?

Thanks for everyone’s input. I think the dash pad was refinished with a water based paint as Isopropyl alcohol softens the finish. Can I spray the solvent based plastic paint on it or should I use a non-etching primer first?

My Braces for my 68 Barracuda are bent out of shape and I’d like to know the approximate angles that each end needs to be before I install them. Does anyone have a picture of a picture brace for reference, or the angles they need to be bent to?

I have a small damaged area on my dash and I was wondering what would be the best way to fill the hole. The hole is about 1/4” x 1/2”, and 1/8” deep. I thought I would dap on a thin layer of urethane glue, and then mist it with water so it foams, and keep doing that until the spot is level with...

One of lens is cracked on my fender mounted turn signal indicators. Does anyone make repops of the lens or do I have to buy new signal indicators?
