Is it required to to make a six pack fit to have a scoop in the hood? The reason I ask is when I start work on my '70 Duster I want to up it to a 340 but use the original hood, hopefully without modifying it.

I've noticed that some stock Dusters have a rectangular gauge cluster and others have round. Is this just a difference between getting a slant 6 vs v8?
