    Is this a good combo for a 273 ?

    I have a D4B combined with Eddy 600 cfm. Works perfectly, but requires a larger cam. My choice was Comp Cams 20-246-4. Later I added domed pistons and headers. The power comes above 2500 rpm, where the car runs like a burnt rat.

    Ulf, I have a Comp Cam #20-246-4 in my 273. Works perfect with Edelbrock D4B intake manifold and Edelbrock 1406 (600 cfm) carb. Added to that Spitfire headers and domed pistons. I will follow your build /restoration with great interest.

    I need a left side rear inner splash shield for my 1963 Dodge Dart. As far as I know a splash shield from any 63 - 66 a body will do the job. It don't have be perfect, hopfully I can fix it.

    Just orded new headers from Layson

    The torsion bars where in place during install and the headers didn’t hit the bars. But it was some pipe sculpturing and welding to get clearance. I kept the dual exhaust system (stainless) used with the manifolds.

    I installed the headers. And yes, it was the HS-22MOD. Very tight, especially at the drivers side. The clearance to the steering is 0.2”. The installation was not a walk in the park, the torsion bars are a problem. I had a couple of days of pipe sculpturing, but now I’m very satisfied.
