looking for rear bumper 71 to 73 dart swinger

Actually, all four years are different. 70 - single large rectangular tail lights. 71 - dual smaller rectangular tail lights. 72 - same as 71 but added jack slots. 73 - same as 72 but has large slots in place of small square holes for mounting. The slots are there for the...

That looks like a bargain to me. The AMC ones start out at $2500 used (and sell quickly). :blackeye:

    Overseas/International shipping questions???

Depends on how big the part is. I've sold a lot of stuff to European customers. PayPal is what I used for payment most of the time and I never had any problems. I have had a few guys send cash on occaision - I think they were mostly Polish mobsters, though. :cwm10: I use USPS for the small...

Early A body and B body arm rests and pads

I have one red one for the left rear with an ashtray hole. The other three are kind of a metallic red.

Early A body and B body arm rests and pads

I have a small collection of early A and B body arm rests and parts I thought you guys might have an interest in. Some weird colors - most are the shorter style, though. Rather than list prices and get flack I'll just accept offers. :blackeye:

What Air Compressor Do You Have?

Here's one from the cheap seats. I bought this new in 1980 - Sears 4 horse, 20 Gallon, 220V. Last year it started acting up - one of the reed valves was worn and a screw fell out. I flipped all the valves over, locktighted the screws back in, and made new gaskets out of a Bud 12 pack...

    Treasures found under the seats

I part a car or two just about every year and scrounge salvage yards when I can. I've found lots of odd stuff over the years but nothing really valuable. I've found lot's of spare change and hippie-related materials in the 60s and 70s cars. The better things I've found were ram...

    A body seat questions

OK, I have a pair of bucket seats from a 76 Aspen and they look very similar to seats in A body cars I've owned so I have a few questions. 1 - Are the frames basically the same as other A body seats from about 70 and up? 2- Is the hole pattern/spacing the same as earlier seats so I could use...

    Rust free rust buckets . . .

That's nothin - I drove 5 hours to Missouri to look at a 70 Ambassador a couple years ago. I had 2 pictures and his word - his word wasn't worth diddly. :sad10: All I can say is it was a Missouri ditch rider. :toothy8: I can go on for hours about that car. Had $2000 on the windshield...

    Rust free rust buckets . . .

I'll agree to that - I always check out the cars I buy personally - unless I have a really good friend in the area that is very knowledgeable about cars. The Spirit I looked at the same day was checked out first by one of those guys. He described it pretty well but I'll probably pass on it...

    Holley Strip Dominator

Yeah - it's kind of an oddball - it's a 70 service block and I think it has a cast crank in it. I planned on checking it out a little closer before I actually stuck everything in a car. I did a lot of goofy things when I was putting it together 20 years or so ago. #-o TRW stock replacement...

    Holley Strip Dominator

I may have to get another converter anyway. It's a 70 340 but I think it's got a cast crank in it IIRC. The Fairbanks I ordered for a 70 340 before I knew that. Aren't cast crank 340s externally balanced? Like I've said before - I've been out of the Mopars for quite a while now. :sad10:

    Rust free rust buckets . . .

That's hard to believe that Dart was actually described as rust free. I see it has the rare deluxe leather interior option, too - good score !!! :blackeye: I'd post pics of the car I checked out but I think the guy is a member here - although I found the car through other people I...

    What a waste.....

That sounds like a great deal - I hope the car doesn't get destroyed. 8) The average derby guy has little interest in classic cars or parts. I don't like AMC Pacers much but apparently they are the best car made for the demo class they run in - they destroy hundreds of them every year...

Wow, look what the car drug home.lol again!

ROTFLMAO !!! I found one of those for my little brother last year because he wanted one. He came over about a week ago and said he'd pretty much give it to me so he didn't have to keep it around. I told him about the only thing I would do with it is jack it up and drop a brick on the gas...

    Holley Strip Dominator

I've got one of those Direct Connection performance electronic distributors around here somewhere with a couple hundred miles on it. It didn't do much for my 76 van but'll probably make it onto this engine.

    Rust free rust buckets . . .

Yup, that 'Cuda is a potential 2 million dollar gold mine. After, of course, you swap out 90% of the sheet metal, install a Hemi, and fake up a few little tags and stamp a few numbers in the right places.

    Holley Strip Dominator

Thanks Rumblefish, you've given me a little assurance that this setup might work somehow. The engine's already together, though. The heads were shaved about .004 for flatness and hardened exhaust seats were installed. I used .020 steel shim gaskets - everybody wanted higher compression back...

    Rust free rust buckets . . .

I agree completely with Dave - that first car looks pretty nice underneath. That 'Cuda is probably 90% rust free, right?

    Holley Strip Dominator

That sounds kinda like what I was considering running - I've had a lot of this stuff for 25-30 years on a shelf and figure I really ought to use it some day. I have a rebuilt standard bore 70 340 with 1.88 intake valve heads (I think). It has 284/484 Purple shaft cam and I have a new Fairbanks...
