Just Bought a 65 Barracuda that sat for over 20yrs.

After making sure the engine turns freely by hand I would prime the oil pump before attempting to start. Good luck with your Barracuda. My grandparents bought one new in 64 or 65.

Will 225/70/14 tires fit on a stock 1969 Dart?

I should have said with 225/70/14 with drums and sbp rallies they rubbed a little on the front. Went to the lbp rallies with the disc brake conversion and they rubbed more. That conversion pushes the wheels out a little. Then the tire size change to 225/60/14 solved the problem.

Will 225/70/14 tires fit on a stock 1969 Dart?

On my 67 Dart that size was ok in the rear but rubbed on the lower front fender. I had sbp rallyes but I did have 73-76 factory disc brake conversion for the front. Went to 225/60/14 and solved the problem.

Only picture I have at the moment. The shop is good, they have successfully installed several RMS systems. They will talk to Bill, as they have in the past on other builds. Will post what happens.

69 Barracuda front RMS suspension issue

Yes, according to them a 17 x 8 inch wheel would clear. Not so much for me. What tire are you running on your 17 x7 rim?

69 Barracuda front RMS suspension issue

The shop that has my Barracuda says the outer tie rod is hitting the inside of the rim as shown in the picture. Wheels are 17 x 8 inch torque thrust ll's with 5.48 inch backspace with p235 tires either 45 or 40 series. Car is a new build that just had alignment done and is not on the road yet...

I sold my car to a guy from across the country. After he agreed to buy it, I sent him a picture of the title front and back so he could see there were no liens. This has happened to my 69 Barracuda as well. It's in a resto shop now and owner has recommended panel bond adhesive. I think that's what I'm going with.

    steering box firm feel opinions

I put a FirmFeel stage 3 on my Dart before I sold it and thought it was too heavy. It also still had a little play on center. In hindsight I think a Borgeson would have been better but I never drove a car with a Borgeson so don't have a direct comparison.

undercoating inside the doors and sound deadener

I put fatmat in the inside of the doors over the factory undercoat on my 69 Barracuda. Haven't driven it yet but I can tell you there was a big difference to me in how the doors sounded when they closed. Much more solid sounding.
