    Chrysler Pacifica reliability?

2017+ Chrysler Pacifica vans, non hybrid. How are they? Don't care much for whizbang features, just reliability. I've heard the trans can be clunky, but lasts okay. I've also heard issues with an oil cooler? Looking to upgrade the family van. We had a 2009 Chrysler van and it was horrible...

A/C Compressor Mounting with Car Engine

Aha! That's the part I was missing. I couldn't see where the rear was bolted. It looks like my timing cover is different from yours. I'm going to have to trim it to access that bolt hole. Thanks again for posting.

A/C Compressor Mounting with Car Engine

@JBrian , hey a couple questions on your setup. Is the compressor only using the front ears for mounting? Or do you also have something attaching to the rear ears? It looks like you cut the timing cover for clearance, is that right? Any pictures of that? Do you feel that the 7176 compressor...

Well, some lifting with a Jack and some wacking with a hammer and I think it turned out ok.

Challenger on Viper Chassis with Hellcat

This popped up in my feed today: Mopar racers: Are they just built different? I'd love to hear more about this car. Anybody have more details? The Durango did pretty well too.

    Pontiac guy gone Mopar.

Thanks for the pictures. By the part numbers, they are for cars 2009 and up. They turn down nice, but I'm thinking the width will hit the shock towers.

    Pontiac guy gone Mopar.

Do you know what exhaust manifolds those are? Are there part numbers on them? They look like they would work well in the engine bay.

    68 Barracuda Fastback build

Love the car! Saw it on Instagram and was looking for more details, so I was pleasantly surprised to see your thread here. Do you have pictures of the rear link suspension? You mention a 3-link and that's something I'd like to do someday. Thanks.

A/C Compressor Mounting with Car Engine

@DionR Mine is measuring 4 3/8" 2010 5.7L Cop engine. It's has the VVT also. So there are some overlap years on the accessories.

A/C Compressor Mounting with Car Engine

Interesting... a lot of the links I was finding were broken. Thanks for all your input here, @DionR @JBrian that looks nice! I'm planning on using the Classic Auto Air kit, so this looks like the simplest way to go. Would you be willing to share the files for those parts? I could chip in some...

A/C Compressor Mounting with Car Engine

I'm in the early stages of my hemi swap and have been searching the forum a bunch. Unfortunately, some of the links are broken in the older threads. What has been done to fit the A/C compressor? This is my set up: stock k-frame (biscuit mounts), 2010 5.7L Car engine, TTI mounts. The TTI mount...

    Bent Radiator Support

My 67 Barracuda's radiator support is bent. I'm not really a body guy. How would you fix this? Beat it back into shape? Too far gone... replace it? If I can bend it back into place, any tips are techniques? Thanks.

    5 Speed swap

I had an AX15 in my Barracuda. (Just pulled it this weekend and it's for sale) I have 3.83 gears and was running a Magnum 5.2L. First gear was pretty much a granny, so when racing I'd start in 2nd. There was a big jump between 2-3 and it felt like the car didn't pick up speed until 3rd. It...

    [FOR SALE] AX15 Transmission

AX15 transmission, 2wd out of a 1994 Dakota. Fits Mopar small block, I was using it in my 67 Barracuda. Shifter has been shortened to work in the car. Shifted smooth when pulled. I believe it has about 160K miles on it. $200 OBO, Location: Klamath Falls, OR

I'm going to try this today. It should give me constant 45 psi. Thanks.

    94 5.2L Magnum running rough

Well, I spoke too soon. After running good in the garage with the new crank sensor, when I went to actually drive it, it started acting up again. Swapped in a spare PCM that I have and it's not dying anymore. Unfortunately, it's a truck PCM that doesn't run well with the Jeep injectors/vacuum...

Donor Car Part Out- What parts are valuable to resell?

Did some research on Ebay today. Looks like the following parts might be worth pulling: Ignition switch/module: $150 Police chassis module: $70 Trans module: $97 Gauges (police uses 160 mph "certified") $200 Taillights might be worth pulling since they were used only a couple years. Couldn't...

Donor Car Part Out- What parts are valuable to resell?

I'll look into modules. From my research the brakes are the same as R/T's with the exception of the rears. At least for this 2010. I'm using the radiator and fans, so those are tucked away. It's a standard power steering pump. I was hoping to sell the airbags, but apparently they are hazardous...

Donor Car Part Out- What parts are valuable to resell?

2010 Charger Police car. I've stripped everything out of the car that I need for my swap. Now I need to scrap the body. Are there any other parts worth pulling and selling to recoup some costs? I don't have a ton of storage space, I'm thinking smallish things that I can sell later after the body...

    94 5.2L Magnum running rough

Thanks @AJ/FormS , that's some good tech. To follow up: I replaced the crank sensor just now and it's running fine again. Didn't get a chance to drive it yet due to graduation parties (and a 2010 Charger parts car clogging the drive way). It idles good and the exhaust isn't stinky either. Let...

    94 5.2L Magnum running rough

Dion, yeah I know about the different crank sensors auto/manual. I had to swap connectors in the harness to run the correct sensor. My understanding is the pickup in the distributor times the fuel injection, correct? I agree on the crank sensor. Sidenote: We just picked up a hemi to swap in...

    94 5.2L Magnum running rough

No, it runs rough off idle too. Friend came over and threw a timing light on it and we noticed that the light would skip a flash occasionally. Then the engine just completely died a few times. He said the light shut off when the engine shut down. So we knew it was somewhere in the ignition...

    94 5.2L Magnum running rough

Today's update: New plugs, no change. Just checked fuel pressure: 34-36psi the rough idle made the needle move, 44 psi with vacuum removed. Service manual says: 31 psi at idle and 39 psi with vacuum removed. So I'm about 5 psi higher than the book says. Is that enough of a difference to make...

Has anyone installed more modern bucket seats in their A Body??

I can't easily measure the brackets without removing the seats. However, if you have the new seats it's pretty straightforward. You can see how I made them on my blog.

    94 5.2L Magnum running rough

Ok, update on this: Checked compression. All cylinders are 170 psi except one was 165 and another was 180, so that seems good. Manifold air temp sensor was out of range, replaced it. Coolant temp sensor was out of range, replaced it. Plugs are black from running rich, so I cleaned them with...

    94 5.2L Magnum running rough

Thanks for the ideas, guys. I'll check the temp sensor with my multi-meter to see if it's in spec. Probably also check the inlet air temp sensor. If that checks out, I'll compression check the cylinder. If that checks out, I'll throw a new plug in #4. Not sure when I can get back into it...
