Hi Commando66 I was wondering if you had any info on how to fix a driver's side door hinge or if you knew where I may look to perhaps buy a new lower hinge. My door is sagging and not latching correctly. I think pin is worn. Thanks

Has anyone successfully bored a 318 to 4.04?

I have a 71 318 Truck block that was bored to 4.040 in my 66 Dart. The engine has KB243 pistons pressed unto 360 rods. The heads are closed chambered 315's off my tired 273 with 1.88/1.50 valves, ported 214 intake/165 exhaust with the chambers cut to bore and blended to heart shape. The cam is a...

    Dual Master Cylinder

Thanks for all of you for the useful info. I changed over from a single pot to a dual and a combination valve for the disc/drum set up. Based on all the feedback it seems that all my lines should be 3/16" (from master to valve and then valve to wheels). I was having a real hard time getting what...

    Dual Master Cylinder

Can anyone advise what the thread sizes are for a dual master cylinder (Disc/Drum). The MC is a MC36406. I can't find made up lines with the correct ends and need to buy adapters. Thanks

    Leaking Coolant

Perhaps you need to retread your post's. First mention of name was by you when you decided to get involved. None of this has to do with subject matter so please PM me if this is still something you feel you need to continue.

    Leaking Coolant

TX Dart, It is obvious you have talked to Justin. So have I, many times including when Rusty RR suggested it. I'm not on here to bash him or stick up for him. I simply asked a question about a coolant leak to allow me to move forward and get the car going. Thanks to FABO members help the leak...

    Leaking Coolant

Thanks for everyone's feedback. Going to get some new gaskets and put it back together. The intake sits in there w/o any movement and the holes seem to line up nicely. The gaskets were wet in towards the middle from the jackets and the bolts didn't have any sealant. If it still leaks then I'll...

    Leaking Coolant

Well if this looks good then I guess it is back to the drawing board. There was water laying in the valleys so I thought I had found the issue. What should the bolts be torqued to on alum intake? Should washers be used? Thanks

    Leaking Coolant

I removed the intake today to see what I could see. First thing I found was that all bolts were only tightened to around 20#'s. The next thing I found was that the bolts had no sealant on them. I also found the holes reamed with a grinder on the intake. I have no idea why. These were 1966 273...

    Leaking Coolant

I did mean the oil pan plug. I'm having a hard time pin pointing the leak because it happened after I filled the radiator up. One day I added a couple of gallons but it wasn't enough to fill it. There was no leak. The next day I filled it up the rest of the way to top. I didn't notice the leak...

    Leaking Coolant

I'm really in a tough spot here and it has proven out that I made a huge mistake on who I picked to be my engine builder. It was 1wild&crazyguy (whom I'm sure some of you remember). I was impressed with his input and the feedback that he seemed to garner when he offered up advise. But he is now...

    Leaking Coolant

While I very rarely ever post, I use FABO constantly as a "search tool" to learn. But this time I have a real problem and would appreciate some feedback and recommendations. The engine is a 318 and was built by a local person here in the SD area. It is a 318 block with 273 heads that have been...

My 66 Cuda water pump nightmare

My 66 Cuda water pump nightmare

Does your hood close ok? I thought that the Champion 1635 was taller than stock. I was told that a Champion 2375 was the better fit for a 66. The reason I ask is because I'm need a radiator for my 66 Dodge Dart. Thanks

It is going well. I've been in SD for over a year now and really like it. We have sold the house in Maine so it makes things a little easier w/o the house mortgage. I thought I saw your car at the 2013 Spring Good Guys show but didn't see you. My wife went with me this time and we had a good...

It was great to meet you on Saturday also. I had a great time. Next year I'm bringing the Dart for sure. Some time after the holidays I may ask you a couple ofquestions about a good mechanic to look my car over and see if they can determine why it burns some oil after the first start of the day...
