I had a similar problem on my 73 Duster........when I turned the wheels mostly to the right, the tire on the drivers side would barely rub the fender. After I had the restoration completed on it this past summer, I talked to my body man about the situation (after replacing the fender on the...

    Player1up's 73 Duster

I know what you mean about doing the work yourself. I did a lot of work myself......that I knew I could do.....I had so much invested in the car before the body work, I didn't want to ruin it with my limited knowledge of doing it and messing up something. I did go to the body shop very...

    Painting cowl panel

Had the same problem with the painting on my 73 Duster......mine was kinda yellowish and orange. My body man, used some good quality spray undercoating (with a plastic tube attached) to help cover the old colors inside there then made sure that he got ample color when he was doing the body. I...

    Player1up's 73 Duster

The car looks great! I know what you mean about being reluctant about doing the body work and the search for parts is at times a real pain.......especially to find the right stuff at a decent price. It's like most places want a premium for their parts. Anyway, they know that they will get it...

    Complete Motor with headers.

I personally would recommend headers from TTI (Link) http://www.ttiexhaust.com/ Yes they cost more but well worth it. They were a breeze to put in. I had gotten a few scratches on them by 'dry fitting' them (seeing where they will hit, if at all, any problem areas to encounter, if any......)...

    Bottoming Out!! Need S/s Springs????

Why not just put a good set of Air Shocks under the rear.....put it where you want depending on the amount of weight you have at the time.
