    64 Dart GT seat adjustment

I seem to recall that there was an adjustment beyond the standard slider that you could make to get the seat back a bit further. Any info on this?

power steering conversion for 64 dart

I have read that the steering shaft needs to be changed to add power steering, as the manual shaft is too long. Is there any reason, you could not just cut the shaft to the correct length and and sleeve weld it back together?

    Help! 64 GT rearwindow weatherstrip

you guys are definitely right. The 63 is much smaller. I got a weatherstrip for a 64 and it fits fine, but Jiim's Mopar is really proud of it - $300 for the part. Ouch!

    Help! 64 GT rearwindow weatherstrip

I contacted Just Mopar and they sold me a weatherstrip for the rear window of a 63 GT, since I figured they were exactly the same as a 64. Got it, but it is too small. Any idea where I can get one? Is it possible that there was a change year to year on rear window size?

Do you have pix of where the linkage attaches to the carb - that is where the confusion is. Thanks!

    Carb linkage for 64 Dart

I have a 64 GT and PO swapped in a replacement engine. The carb. linkage looks like some parts are missing... Can anyone post a pic of the proper stock linkage so I can see what it is supposed to look like? Dart has a typewriter.

    rear window trim clips

The rear window in my 64 Dart GT had rust issues (surprise!), and the PO had just glued it all together. I have fixed it properly, but now I need some trim cllips. Anybody got tips as to where I might find some?

Thanks! I hadn't thought of that - duh!

    Oil pump

Finishing up a build of a 225. Noticed that the rear of the oil pump under the filter appears to be open - does this just need a plug, or is something else supposed be in there (pressure relief?)?

    Valve adjustment

This is what I did. I would watch the cylinder in question and see that the intake valve was closing. When it was fully closed I set the valves - still not certain that I was on the base circle, however. What do you think? I just had some doubt because in that position, you could turn the...

    Valve adjustment

I'm building a slant and am ready to adjust the valves; the engine is sitting on a stand, so obviously I need to set them cold. I remember from back in the day that there was a procedure that allowed you to set valves on a 6 and only turn the crank 3 times - each cylinder has a "companion...

    Rocker shaft oiling

Yeah, I figured it out not long after i posted. I sas that the last rocker shaft mount had a larger hold than the bolt took, so it obviously feeds through there into the shaft and from there lubes everything. Thanks for the info!

    Rocker shaft oiling

This may be a stupid question, but I can't figure out how the rocker shaft gets its oil. Obviously it does, since I just disassembled the shaft w/rockers (btw, found about half of the oil feeds for the oiling to the rockers plugged...) and it obviously is intended to pressure lube the rockers...

    Installed mini starter...very pleased

But don't you lose the Highland Park hummingbird? For me, that's a significant part of owning a Mopar. You could always tell a Mopar from anything else being cranked.

    ever seen a 1964 Chrysler 880

A friend in high school got one of these that had been retired from the Highway Patrol - CHP in those days always ran mopars and they were FEARED! His had a 413 and ran really hard. I've talked with retired CHP officers and they still say the best cars they ever had were late 60's 440 Dodges -...

    Throttle linkage conversion

Anybody have any pix of the conversion to cable throttle for early A's? I'm doing a Super Six on my 64 GT. Kind of want to see how the gas pedal mounts.

    My new early A body

If these pix are all of the same car, I think what you have is Vart; or maybe a Daliant. The front clip is Valiant, and the rear is dart. Likely a Canadian car unless somebody has done some mods.

Anybody know a source for steel head gaskets for the slant? All my parts houses come up empty. I've shaved .075 off and want to keep as much compression as I can.
