I bought the PST kit several years ago (for all 4 corners) and was able to muddle my way through. Do note that my kit did not come with one of the correct springs (I don't recall which one, but it's one of the lower springs). One hook end was 90* out of phase, so to speak, and wouldn't properly...

I've been looking for a wood grain 3-spoke for several years.... I like the look of that Nardi! That gets me thinking... might be time to hit up the local junk yards and see what's laying around.

Just finished reading through this thread - very impressive! I recently (okay, 7 years ago now) had my 273 rebuilt, although I can't claim to have nearly as much as you. That cam sounds impressive - I may need to look into changing mine... Thanks for the words, photos, and inspiration!

Well, things went from bad to worse. Got one cam bolt off, peeked in behind the shock and saw some metallic swiss cheese. Beyond my capabilities, so it's off to the frame shop to have some welding/repair done. An unfortunate turn of events, to be sure. Still no luck on removing the other cam...

wjajr, that looks oddly familiar.... quite similar to the tool the service manual describes to release the upper ball joint. I'll see if I can fab that up tomorrow and put it to use. Incidental question: I've already gotten the upper ball joint out - I'll have to see where I can expand the tool...

I'm in the process of replacing the bushings on my front suspension, and am now trying to remove the passenger inner tie rod end from my idler arm ('67 fastback, 273). The pickle fork I've been hammering on isn't doing squat to separate them. Any suggestions? Thanks - Alex

Working backwards, here: Year One, among others, sells new studs. RH only, from what I could find. They also seemed to be the cheapest around, although with shipping to the Left Coast it might cost a little more. Less than $3/lug, though. There were some other sites that came up to - Google is...

Several years ago I noticed that someone (R/T Specialties, I think) was making rear window corner trim pieces for 67 fastbacks. Anyone know if they still carry them, or if I can get them somewhere else? I've been to R/T's site, but can't find anything....:scratch:

When I had my windshield replaced a couple years ago, the installation guy (a family friend - got a great deal on that one!) said I could spray and wipe a little WD-40 on the various rubber weatherstripping pieces to help them get watertight again.
