    1969 Valiant Diary

I’d planned to do that with a ‘75 Duster that I had but ended up selling it. My plan now is to use the ‘67 front clip (and possibly the ‘67 rearend) on my ‘75 Scamp in order to make a 1-of-none 112” wb ‘67 valiant.

Nice! Someone did you a big favor and put a 67 grill in it instead of the less attractive 69 grill. Yup, I said it. :D

If you’re looking to buy another cam, I think I’d emulate what RAMM did with this build. That torque curve is nuts!

    Thinking of moving to Kentucky..

If you decide to come visit the area, be sure and let me know! I live 30 minutes west of Bowling Green. I will say this much about the salt/rust. Over the past decade, I’ve noticed that as long as you buy vehicles that have been in the BG area or farther south, you’re usually fine, buy something...

Dang dude… sucks to hear about what you went through! But I am happy to see an update on the car! And also glad that you’re still here with us and not in a 6x10 cell somewhere. :D

    Post your self portraits!

Yeah, if it wasn’t for marketplace and car pages, I’d have deactivated fb a long time ago.

    Post your self portraits!

This happens to me all the time on here! For some reason I assume a lot of different members are in the 30-45 range when a LOT of the ones that I think that, are actually in the 60+ range! Maybe because I’m 30 I just assume more are closer to my age? *ps. I sent you a message on fb messenger...

Need advise on Sub frame connectors

Duster/demons are 108”, darts/scamps are 111”. Only way your Dart is 114 is if someone altered the wheelbase.

    12:05 Garage- ’70 Duster build

I for one really enjoyed and appreciated your post on your quest for geometry improvement! (Well, up until the doom n gloomers came in with all the hate, anyway) I’ll likely follow your lead on the taller balljoints in the future (unfortunately I JUST put new QA1 balljoints in this last fall) I...

Has anyone seen or used one of these

Well, looks like this manifold is now listed as “unavailable” on summit, so I guess it’s not gonna be produced. :mob:

‘68 Barracuda fastback in Higginsville, Mo.

So we’re in western Missouri this weekend at my in-laws and I happened to be walking down the side of highway 13 north of Higginsville. I was right by the entrance to the Higginsville Veterans Cemetary when a funeral procession came over the hill and turned into the cemetery. The second car in...

I salute you men and women who

I don’t under why it’s so hard to keep a shop organized… This isn’t my garage, it’s a picture I pulled off the internet, I’ve never had anything this organized in my life.

    72 duster resto

I would scour market place and see if you can find a 5.2 or 5.9 magnum for $200-400. Only common issue on those is the cracked heads (which imo is a non-issue on 90% of them) and they often need cam bearings replaced.

Where to put the air compressor?

If I would put it in the mezzanine, it would definitely be in an insulated enclosure. Was the vibration an issue up there?

    360 vs 440 79 coachman

Oh, well if you’ve got a 440 donor RV on hand already, then absolutely I would do the 440 swap over a 5.9 magnum swap.
  25. 75slant6

    360 vs 440 79 coachman

Oh, I was talking about if you’d be using a 5.9 magnum. If you swap in a 440 and the matching transmission, it may or may not change the driveshaft length, I really don’t know either way.
  26. 75slant6

    360 vs 440 79 coachman

Mini starters are a lot easier to get in and out (especially with headers) and are also higher torque. Driveshaft would stay the same if using the same transmission.
  27. 75slant6

    360 vs 440 79 coachman

I couldn’t tell you about the starter since I’ve only ever run mini starters on mine. As for the oil pan, you can run either timing chain cover with either oil pan, but if you are using an la oil pan, it needs to be a 360 pan (which you already have)

    360 vs 440 79 coachman

That’s just to run the factory fuel injection and ignition. You can bolt a carbureted intake and the front cover and all accessories from an older small block on it to convert it back to the b-belts (if so desired) I’m currently running a carbureted 5.9 magnum in my Duster and someone would be...

Where to put the air compressor?

Either way I do it, there would be vents. Possibly even a bathroom exhaust fan setup similar to the one in this video
