True! I had to trim off about 1/8" on the passenger side because I was rubbing when the car would lean around turns but the driver's side had a good 1/2" clearance and required no trimming.

I am running 255/60R15's on 7" steelies with 4.5" backspacing. Driver's side fit perfectly...passengers side rubs a little bit so I had to trim about 1/8" off the inner fender lip. Fronts are 205/65R15 on 6" steelies

If you are planning on going for a few days I would suggest you book a hotel room now. There are bunch in the immediate area but they fill up very fast! You may be forced to stay 10-20 miles away if you wait until the last minute.

I agree to go with TTIs but don't be surprised if you have fitment issues. There are plenty of guys that had lots of room around their starter, frame, steering linkage, etc. But I was one of the unfortunate ones. No matter what they still give the best ground clearance.

Can anyone recommend a good set of wheel/car dollies? I want to be able to tuck my car in the corner of the garage for the winter. I have heard the harbor frieght ones are on the flimsy side but don't want/need to fork out $800 for the hydraulic ones. Thanks!!

I had the exact problem with my 68 dart. Everything was installed exactly as TTI states and I used new motor mounts. I shimmed my motor up maybe another 1/4" to get just a bit more clearance. My only solution (just short of a BFH as stated above) was to grind down the castle nut just enough...

I am running 15x7 with 3.5" backspacing and 255/60R15 on the rear of my 68 dart. The drivers side clears nicely with about 1/2" to spare. But the passengers side will rub a tiny bit at the fender lip. So I just cut off about 1/4" of the lip so the tire could clear.
