    1968 Dart radio bracket question

The Grenada and Sunbird both went airborne, as did my moms Capri. The buddy that hit me with the nickname had the record with his moms Datsun 310 though.

I'll continue to let someone else provide more input for now, after work I need to pack & get truck ready, we are driving to Florida right after work tomorrow. @1968 Dart 270 At the time I had a 1977 Granada. Decent working kid high school car, 2 door, Bucket seats, 4 speed, Probably good...

    1968 Dart radio bracket question

Me & a buddy skipped school on a snowy day and we were bombing around in my car. We were in the next town over and I came around a corner in second and started a good sideways slide -steering into it and realized we were in a school zone. The crossing guard came over and started yelling and told...

    1968 Dart radio bracket question

It also looks like mine is installed incorrectly. It looks like theres a stud on the lower rail of the dash frame, and there might be a nut on the forward side of that. Ima gonna need to look into that

    1968 Dart radio bracket question

On the drivers side, bottom rear of the radio, mine has a bracket.

    Front Shock Recommendation

I would suggest 1.03 bars min. I don't recall too many potholes in Florida, no matter where I went. I have 1.12, but can't provide any feedback yet as I only have 7 miles on it so far. Concerned that I might have gone a little overboard, but time will tell.

Where to get quality light sockets

I bought some salvage sockets from a member. After I wired them up, I enveloped the backside of entire front side marker light in a glob of duct-seal hoping to prevent the new lights & sockets from corroding. The pot metal 68 light gets spray from the front tire. As a side note, I also got...

    3d printed dash bezel.

I have a 68, and I want to do something, but not sure what yet. Here to watch, but don't know where the popcorn bucket is.

Have you ever seen any Dart, Valiant, Demon or Duster with a rear window defroster?

In my 68 I have the dash switch, and the deck vent trim. But in 1988 I was more interested in 2 speakers, plus living in Fl, I wasn’t worried about a rear defrost, so, being young & dumb, I tossed the blower motor & 6x9 hole adapter

    New here

Hi from southern Va. I’m finishing up my 68 Dart finally. I’m originally from Ct, so back & forth a couple times a year. Got pics of the Swinger? My 1sr car was a 71 w/ slant.

    Over 10 years ....

Got me to thinking about it, funny though, I've been here since 2011 and have only managed to make about 1400 posts. I'm kind of an introvert. My first 2 years was just thinking about what I wanted to do with my car, until I could get it here from Florida.

Ford guy helping his buddy go fishing.

Welcome Aboard! What year Barracuda? Pics yet? What’s in YOUR garage, any cool old Dearborn iron? What I personally like about this site is while we are obviously primarily a Mopar A-body forum, there’s great discussions about other Mopars, and conversations about “the others” don’t get beat...

BAD MECHANICS - Thermostat and Radiator Fan Blade

Did you take a picture out of one of your earlier posts? I swear there was a photo showing what looked to be the kickdown linkage sloping down at a very unusual angle, thereby prompting the responses to get it looked at. It was there, it just didn't look right. Nobody was kicking you, they...

    Sun shade

A friend uses a 10x10 soccer mom tent, has 4 “anchors” He has 3” (Ithink) PVC about 18 long with end caps, filled with concrete, and an eyebolt on one end. Hangs them on the tent with bungee cords long enough to just touch the ground.

Part Question for Auto Trans Gurus

Thank You all for your input. I feel comfortable that I can proceed based on your helpful advice. I don’t have any idea where that ring came from, maybe the guy that built it before they went out of business. Could be why Im needing to fix it myself. Let you know how it works out, but it might...

    Beware new member "Prints Valiant"

All good advice for dealing with newcomers. I check how long someone’s been here, & a few of their posts. Most dealings I don’t have a problem with PayPal because of the “quickness”-when I want or need something, I certainly don’t want to wait for USPS twice and add time for a check to clear...

Part Question for Auto Trans Gurus

@monc440 Here is a good site to see the exploded view of the a500.…yeah, thats the one I was looking at I was figuring on the “extra parts” concept, but I thought I was careful about keeping the new parts separated. But it was a good number of months @moparlvr166 all good suggestions, but I...

Part Question for Auto Trans Gurus

About 7 months ago, I took apart my transmission watching a video posted by @67Dart273, very detailed tear down & rebuild, though the guy was working on a 518, & mines an A500. Now many months and a short memory later, I got it back together but I have 1 part left over. I don’t know if it came...

    What Is This Car?

Thanks, I like it. Other than Mustangs, Trucks, and the occasional Fairlane, I don’t see many Fords.

    WHAT IS THIS??

Casting sand from when the block was poured. When I was at that point, I used coat hangers and whatever else and just scraped everything I could get to. Regular hose nozzle flush, and that was about it. Finished up with a full set of brass plugs & a bit of RTV.

    What Is This Car?

My wife was out and sent me this picture. I thought Ford, but the roofline threw me, didn’t seem angular enough then maybe Olds, but the chop of the fender at the headlights made me think Pontiac. She said its at a Ford dealer
