    4bt 72 Dart

Looks like you have some good components to do your build on. I'm wondering what and whose coil overs you'll be using. That engine is a hefty little nugget.

    4bt 72 Dart

For some following this thread and where it has it's side comments- I stuffed a Gen 1 4BT/Turbo 400 into a Wrangler. Dana 60 and 70 narrowed, 4.56:1 Gears. Pulling a 3500lb trailer and running the A/C all the time I got 21mpg every tankful.

    Intermittant Wiper Motor and Switch

The compact unit wins hands down. I can live with that under the hood. Welding in the wiper motor well was going to be my last resort. I actually contacted Newport Engineering giving them my plans for an internally mounted wiper/washer motor. After a few minutes on the phone it didn't take much...

    Intermittant Wiper Motor and Switch

Here's a couple pictures right out of the box. Comes with the proper Intermittent Wiper/Washer Switch. The knob doesn't belong to our era cars- OEM Knobs will slide right on though. This unit is smaller, lighter, tighter than the OEM Motor. Google Newport Engineering for they're phone number...

    Intermittant Wiper Motor and Switch

Was ready to weld in the wiper motor well on my '67 A Body and install a different brand and style intermittent wiper motor/switch under my dash. Of course that meant hours of fabrication and mock up work, but I want intermittent wipers. Newport Engineering solved the problem by building a...

[WANTED] Four Speed Console for '67 Dart GT

As you can see, no phone digits or email addresses are permitted. If you can decipher the last transmission; I may become a buyer. The parts I inquired about are a lot less that my Hotchkis Suspension, a lot less than my 4 speed conversion, a hell of lot less than my engine.... but a little more...

    4bt 72 Dart

Step back. Analyze. Fabrication is not "a *****" It takes up time and needs perseverance. Don't overthink the build. Aggravation and confusion make Rational Thought impossible. Step back with a clear head. You have the answer. If custom was easy- everyone would have custom. Build your A Body. tpg

    4bt 72 Dart

With those control arms there must be a coil over that fits it. Either with or without the use of the torsion bars. IMO; I'd rework the K Member to fit the oil pan. Remember to tack weld some bracing on your K Member before you take the saw to it- you don't want to lose the integrity of that member.

    1967 73 Dart GT

If I had a frikken brain I'd stop tweaking stuff.....well if I could control the amount of Testosterone being released, I could live a long and happy life. Of course if my aunt had a pecker- she'd be my uncle... So the saga continues... the 1967 Dart GT is on the rotisserie. I had to go back and...

    4bt 72 Dart

Gotta say I love this build. Ya got balls of steel to pull this off. I've dropped the 4BT into Wranglers, 6BT's into Grand Wagoneer Limited's. Only advise I can give at this point: Don't put a "GM" Cowl Hood Scoop on it, and don't stick the headpipe out of the hood. Your building a street car. I...

Baffled Aluminum Fuel Tank/Rear Subframe Rigity Enhancer

I actually built/mocked up this tank first using 1/4" plywood and 1x2's. Kept fitting it/reworking it over and over as I made adjustments. I wanted to get this absolutely right for my aluminum welder/fabricator. He told me no one has ever built him a template like this to work off of. I have...

    1967 73 Dart GT

New Weapon of Mass Tire Destruction. Engine has been done. I've said it before but next week I will shut the gate and build my Dart GT. I hate seeing my car that I've had for at least six years sitting and getting no attention. I'm not working on anybody's anything ever again.... well at least...

[FOR SALE] B/RB Torque Flight 727/ 3000 Stall Converter

Dodge Chrysler Plymouth Mopar 727 & Convert Not sure of the year as I have never cared about matching number, blah, blah, blah. This is a Big Block Torque Flight 727 and was rebuilt in the best of hands using mainly B&M internal components. The Torque Converter is a 3000 Stall RevMax that I had...

Baffled Aluminum Fuel Tank/Rear Subframe Rigity Enhancer

I've had one flat tire in my life- on the road- back in 1975. I want a space saver tire. I like driving across, and down, the state often. I hope I never need a spare, but a little one that doesn't take up any room in the trunk is OK by me. I will look into the Jeep spare though- sounds like a...

Baffled Aluminum Fuel Tank/Rear Subframe Rigity Enhancer

What Jeep Model are writing about? The BMW Space Saver Spare is $185... then I have to do a little fabrication for it to fit.

Baffled Aluminum Fuel Tank/Rear Subframe Rigity Enhancer

There is not much floor left. I used a slightly heavier gauge top plate to help with structural rigidity. The tank can also be drilled/bolted to the trunk floor that is left... which isn't much. There shouldn't be anything that will flex at this point. tpg

Baffled Aluminum Fuel Tank/Rear Subframe Rigity Enhancer

I cut out the spare tire well... and them some more, and a little more, and developed a larger tank that drop's in through the trunk. The reason of the expansively large top plate? It can and will bolt directly to the rear sub frame rails on both sides, as well as connecting the rear body panel...

What ball stud for Lakewood small block shield?

I sent you what you need. Do a preliminary mock up. You shouldn't have any problems. Again, these bell housing/scatter shields were designed to fit many different engines, it many different body styles. What I sent you came out of an A Body. When you see it you will understand. tpg

What ball stud for Lakewood small block shield?

My bet is that someone rigged a different Z Bar to this bell housing/scatter shield. No worries, you only need my ball stud. You'll use the upper threaded hole. Don't forget- these aftermarket bell housing/scatter shield's were made to fit several different engines for marketability. tpg

What ball stud for Lakewood small block shield?

The pictures. It'll be on it's way to you today. I cut the bracket off even though you don't need it. Just keeping my way clear for exhaust and hydraulic clutch lines. Thank You, tpg

Anyone here put a 354 in a Dart?

You BUILD Your Car for You. Anybody that thinks they need an air saw to install a Dana 60 is an idiot. Look at the picture again. Look at my car. Dana 60 cut to 57". 275/40/17's. You roll the quarter's- you don't hack them. Takes talent. I've been massaging "Gems" for over forty years. Some...

What ball stud for Lakewood small block shield?

The one I have will definitely work for you. I'm going hydraulic and won't need it. Hey, it came on my bell so to me it's a freebee. I'm going to nip the entire bracket off my bell/scattershield with a cut off wheel. even thought it is as clean as it can be- it may take a little heat to back the...

When you start adding more performance parts- you can run 1 Gallon of AV Gas to 10 Gallons of 93 Octane. I use AV Gas because I have Airport Access, but if you look around- someone within 50 60 miles from you will sell 110 Octane. Only difference's is AV Gas is Blue(from dye) in color and has...

Anyone here put a 354 in a Dart?

I just came back from Mecum in Kissimmee, FL- NOTHING is more Beautiful, More Mopar, than a Hemi stuffed into an A Body- NOTHING. Aftermarket is out there, but some things need to be fabricated. You need all hands on deck for this operation and a relatively small roll of Hundred's. tpg HEMI...

    BB to /6 904

I just went from a Torque Flight 727 to a A833 4 Speed. I had my 727 Completely gone through- one or two smokey burnouts in the driveway. Slams second hard, and a healthy hit in third. I doubt you can use the 3000 Stall Torque Converter I had built to match my 10.5:1, Lunati Cam'd, 1967 383HP...
