Like Fishy said you will need a different carrier. The 2.45 carrier is it's own animal. Chuck

    Gas Cap

It is most likely a '71 only cap. My '71 Duster had the incorrect cap on it when I got it and was loose. I found out '71 a-bodies have a different filler neck than the other cars. I couldn't find a cap to fit so I put a '70 filler neck in the car. '70's Dodge trucks are the same except they...

Anybody ever use nitro methane oil as an additive????

Sounds to me like it just sounds good telling your buddies or the tuner crowd you have "nitro" oil in your car. But to each his own. Chuck

    833 liberty crash box

I ran one in the 80's in my Chevy truck and it was just like Hemi GTS said. It was cool for a while but became annoying within a month. I swapped in a "normal" 833 and was much better for street use. If you are ever interested in selling it let me know. I have been thinking of converting...

Ma Mopar needs to learn a Thing or 2 about HP/Weight ratios for the Challenger

"stock" and "tune" are some very open terms when it comes ET's. The Drag Pack Challengers are 1000lbs lighter. Chuck

    Check this out!

There were kits to mount a chev small block in front of a Corvair transaxle. My little brother had one in the early 80's. The Tempest and Corvair transaxles were pretty much the same animal. The early swing axle ones (like the one pictured) were the weakest. Even if it is photoshop'd that...

There is a one piece rubberized pan gasket available for a 360 small block, I have one. I bought it some years ago. I can't remember were I bought it. It may be an MP part. Chuck

NHRA US Nationals TV Coverage - Where's Paul Page???

I guess those floods of emails to ESPN and NHRA did some good. Well I would like to think so. If he truly is gone I will start watching again. I have been a NHRA member for years but won't watch it on TV because of Page. Chuck

    badgering purchaser rant!

The person that has possession has to give the starting number. The buyers number means nothing because the person that owns it is the last one that says yes or no to the sale. In other words the person that owns it is only one that knows what they will let it go for, if at all. Chuck

    Ballast resistor question

Just use the stock replacement ballast resistor for the car. I have done quite a few points to electronic conversions and I just used the stock points ballast resistor. They run fine. Chuck

Electronic Ig Control Box on a 85 D100 Off Topic

The lean burn computer should be located towards the front of the truck on the left fender. The air cleaner inlet hose runs to it. Chuck

    how much horsepower?

The biggest problem with forced inducted or highcompression LA's is the head bolt arrangement. It's tough keeping a head in place with only 10 head bolts. Chuck

Anyone ever try making a Duster a hardtop?

You couldn't use the existing glass because you need some glass below the body to attach the regulator too. Having curved glass made would be very expensive. I had a chopped top '67 Impala years ago and found out how much custom glass was. The best (cheapest) thing to is find a piece of...

    Any AC Techs

It may not have been mounted to the fender. I have seen some water control valves that just go inline on the hose and no mounting hardware. Dodge vans are like this. Every Mopar a/c vehicle I have seen has had a water control valve. Chuck

    Proportioning Valve?

The brass block is really a distribution block. The proportioning is done with wheel cylinder / caliper piston sizing. When I do a conversion I use the distribution block from the disc car just because I have it but one time used the drum distribution block to see and the brakes worked fine and...
