i'm not building from scratch guys. i have all the caltrac parts except rear mount. those instructions have completely different dimensions to caltrac.

years ago i ran a 383 with 3/8 pickup to 7500 for 350 1/4 mile passes with no problems. the 493 is a bit more serious of a build and don't want the engine so don't mind going to a external line.

looking for a reliable fuel pump for a NA 493 stroker. had a magnafuel that leaked right out of the box, so been there done that. got a barely used bg 400 which i ain't used but they have a bad rep as well. needs to feed 650-750 hp 70% strip. car has -10 feed and -8 return lines. cheers

that's what i have. i'll double check the calculator with my engine builder.

my collector is 3.5" and 14" long with dump pipe and the longest primary is 28". ran my specs through that calculator and seems all is good.

last year i built a set of fenderwell headers for a 440 build. that turned into a 493 stroker as they do. any way the tubes are 1 7/8" and 3 1/2" collector. are they now to small for the 493. this is a street strip build, spinning to 7000 rpm. cheers
