    1968 SS L023 SS&AFX RESTORATION

The owner decided to run the vintage Hemi Orange paint on the LO23! Awesome color choice. It looks metallic in the picture because of the way the light is hitting the curve of the scoop. It is not the newer metallic version. The hood, doors, and trunk lid are all painted with the body soon to...

    Zac_F71's 71 Demon

Hello Zac. The Demon is coming along nicely man! If your rear main seal leaks again, purchase a one piece from fastfish.com. I had my motor out 3 times and finally installed their one piece. No leaks, I mean bone dry after 500 miles of street driving and several passes at the drag strip. I...

    1968 SS L023 SS&AFX RESTORATION

Hell Calsdart, Unless you are building a 100 point clone I would not worry about it too much. However, Greg is in North Carolina researching what is probably the "most original" 2 owner non molested surviving 1968 LO23. Once he returns with all of his research and pictures I will be happy to...

    1968 SS Dart in progress

Hello Ishore. You need to bend a 4 foot long by 2 1/2" piece of 16 gauge steel to 90* and use a shrinker/stretcher to form the inner wheel lip of the outer quarter skin. That will provide rigidity and the necessary surface area to weld the inner wheel well to. When you initially create your...

    1968 SS L023 SS&AFX RESTORATION

Speaking of crude. Check out the lip of the rear quarter panels. Hurst chopped the inner wheel housing and hammered under the outer skin to create the radius in the rear quarter panels.

    1968 SS L023 SS&AFX RESTORATION

You are correct! The passenger side along the shock tower brace is bashed in for the Hemi. Hurst was quite crude in how they modified these cars.
