    Spark plug gap recomendations

Orange box and a generic Accel chrome coil has always been my "go to" for a long while. This one got EFI so I needed an ignition that generated a "square wave" tach signal. After 8 years the EFI wouldn't take corrections/adjustments anymore so its was unceremoniously removed. Put the 780 back on...

    Brakes locking up

I've run across this on two different cars both doing exactly the same thing, get this: At low speed, just off idle, the brakes are locked up. As near as I can tell it is the rears. Putting throttle to it rocks the car but won't let go. Switch to reverse and car will roll. Switch back and you...

    Spark plug gap recomendations

360/408 10.26:1 compression (actual), MSD 6AL ignition. Using Autolite 3924 plugs @ .035" gap. I've been told to gap at 0.045 as 0.035 is too little and may cause fouling and/or poor performance. Anybody have any research or experience with this?

Stock alternator up to the task? If not, how many Amps will I need?

Keep in mind this all depends on where you tap in for your power source. If you tap in between the alternator and the bulkhead - yes, the bulkhead connections, as well as the ammeter, won't see the draw. But, if on the other side of the harness, between the bulkhead and the battery it will see...

Stock alternator up to the task? If not, how many Amps will I need?

While you can get away with it, as you said, it is not the optimal set up and can bite you. Case in point: in 2012 I was in the Mopar Muscle "Real Street" competition and one of the other contestant's cars gave up (beautiful car!), shut off and wouldn't restart after getting off the freeway. He...

    MSD compatible distributor

I run 10's with a Pep boys OEM electronic dizzy. MSD's allow easier tunablity, but you can always find out what your curve is and translate it into the MSD later if your wallet is a bit lean on funds.

Stock alternator up to the task? If not, how many Amps will I need?

The factory ammeter wiring is questionable at best. They can barely survive going to the later 65A (square diode cooler back) alternator. In those systems total alternator output is going thru two 1/4" blade wire terminals in the bulkhead connector, twice before finding the battery on the other...

    1970-72 duster project wanted

Driver it is... albeit less the 340 part. (I personally prefer the 408's for their stealth.) I realize it'll need more work to reach what you're looking for, but I'm willing to hear offers. I'm debating on painting it, but I have other projects that need my attention; which is why I want to...

70 coronet super bee for trade

Nice! Weights are kinda subject to options and engine sizes. Lists are novel but you really need to see your car on the scales to get an idea as to just how porky they really are. Ex: My 68 Dart (originally a 270 /6 A/T 904, P/S, M/ Drum Brake) weighs in at 3240. 'Glass hood aluminum heads...

    [SOLD] WTB 73 + disc/drum proportioning valve

At the risk of starting an argument: The part folks believe is a proportioning valve is little more than a switch housing for the brake failure warning light. It has no proportioning properties to it at all. It is a glorified "TEE" with a shuttle in it for tripping the light on when one end...
