    buffing wheel

You can purchase the felt wheels at any good-quality auto parts store or even Home Depot. Im not a rouge(stick) polishing guy so I use chrome polish with good results. To lessen the mess, pour polish lightly on the wheel while spinning with hand, rub it in and have your piece of chrome pushed up...

RustOleum on my floors & ceiling?

I once shot Rustoleum on a 63 Buicks roof. Reduce it with Acetone and shoot it. I paint professionally now but I would shoot Rustoleum for that. Its messy, sticky and takes a while to dry. Good luck!

    House of kolor klear coats??

If your using HOK basecoat I would use their CC also. It has great UV qualities. Years ago I used a cheap clear over HOK candy and it faded in a year.

Finding a painter to shoot color...

From a painters point of view, I have never run across a car completely prepped, ready to spray. You may think its ready, but its not. 5-10 hours for final prep, 5-10 hours for masking (properly) 1 hr. getting in the zone, 2-4 hours painting and clearing. It adds up quickly. Dont get your hopes...

Self Etching primer... Good or Bad?

I always use etching primer when coating bare metal(chrome to aluminum) Its mildly acidic so it etches itself to the metal, hence, ETCHing primer. I tend to use CUUDA's method, a coat of etch-prime to bite into the bare metal and go from there. Without it, your flake factor could increase. Good...

73 dart gas tank overflow problem

73 dart sport 340. So this happened to both my dad and I when refueling at multiple gas stations. I know for a fact that the gas tank was nowhere near full, yet I pumped about $5 in and it started to overflow to where I could see gas in the fill tube with the nozzle out. Couldn't pump anymore...

Can a car fix itself? TELL YOUR STORY!

I was explaining to my son that old cars are alive, with personalities, humor, most are temperamental (drives best when clean) Like a lot of kids today, he will take wikipedia's word as gospel. He claimed it was impossible for a car to fix itself. I cant count how many times I've been pissed off...

    73 dart starter help

I have a 73 dart sport. My car wasn't cranking. I could jump the starter relay and get it started though. I eventually replaced the relay, but now it barely cranks, then just stops, like the battery is dying, however, the battery's at full charge. Do I need a new starter? Could it be a...

    Noob needs paint advice?

After you sand, use "etching primer" on the bare metal areas(aerosol $15) You dont have to prime the entire area to be painted if the existing paint is good,it looks like stock paint so whatever you apply will stick properly. Since you live in Mich. I would go with a roll or spray-on bed liner...
