It has been a great year in KC for car shows and cruise nights. Most weekends there are multiple shows and cruises to choose from. My unrestored 1966 has won a few awards, and people love checking out an early A body mopar. Many folks have never seen one.

The shop used a press to install the bushings, and must have put alot of pressure on it without supporting the ear. I don't think I can straighten it with just a BFH. I wish I could since I restored it and will have to do it again to used part.

Yes, that is the one I need to replace. When I installed it, it was difficult to get back in, and it binds up. I think the shop I had press the bushing in placed it on end, and bent it. If you look close, the cam bolts look out of alignment. I didn't notice it before I installed it.

One thing to check is the rubber brake line from the chassis to the differential. Make sure it is not close to the tailpipe especially if you have a single pot master cylinder. Melt that hose and you have no brakes.

I sent mine for rebuild through Rock auto. The company they use did an excellent job. I believe the company is Lars, and it's cheaper to go through Rock auto than with them direct. Quick turn around and I think it was around $200. Had my power steering pump done too, very satisfied.

I have had success by taking the hose to auto parts stores and, if they will let you, match it up to what they have in stock that has the same diameter and bend somewhere on the hose. Trim to fit your hose. Worked for me.
