Will do! This is on my beater '73 Scamp, so I don't care about keeping it original. That's why I asked about the difference between the steel core and ABS.

I pulled my old one out yesterday. So, I'm ready to do something. If it's possible to order from them today, I may pull the trigger.

My Scamp is just a Slant 6 beater...no performance what so ever. But I do drive it a lot.

It just so happens that I purchased a Scarebird kit for my '72 Duster with 10" drums. Then changed my mind, and purchased a Ram Man kit that uses Mopar parts. The lower ball joint bolt spacing is completely different, and those bolts are considerably larger than what was on my '72.

You may be onto something....the "Build Date" is 10-72. So, it is an early build '73.

Yes, the car is original and has 9" drum brakes. It's a 225 slant, auto Scamp.

Mine has no sway bar.

The "bottom" image has what appears to be the same bolt pattern, but the bottom bolts are considerably larger than the top.

I went out to measure the bolts on the car. They appear to be 7/16" & 5/8" bolts!

It was a little difficult to get accurate measurements, but it looks like 7/16" bolts on the top (2) and 5/8" on the bottom.

The bottom bolts on my 1973 are HUGE compared to the earlier stuff. I'd say they are at least 1/2".

Who sells a KH kit for 1973 suspension parts....as they are quite different from a 1972 and older?

Supposedly the Scarebird kit for 1972 will work for narrow 14" SBP wheels. So, maybe I should convert to 1972 parts and the Scarebird kit for '72.

I've already used a Ram Man conversion on my 1972 Duster...small bolt pattern Rallye wheels. I tried the stock 1973 Scamp "narrow" wheels, and they did NOT come close to fitting over the caliper.

Looking at the Scarebird website, he doesn't list any front kits past 1972.

Scarebird has a kit for a 1972. I wonder if I should convert the to 1972 spindles and lower ball joints. I believe the a-arms are the same.

Stock drums...I believe they are 9".

Mark @ Scarebird told me that he has nothing for my combination.

I know that I'm asking for a lot, but what's the best way to convert my 1973 Scamp from Drum to Disc? I want to retain the "Small Bolt Pattern", and narrow steel wheels. (The Ram Man and Scarebird have nothing for this conversion.) Thanks, Jay
