Thats interesting because I have two fairly stock 73 340's one is in a roadrunner (heavy) and they run real hard. I think the 72 up 340's get a bad rap because of the net (not gross) HP rating.. My big ol 73 RR 340 would give my old 383 stroker chevelle a run for its money if not beat it...
