    it is a low stall converter in a 727 with i wana 2.76 ratio in the rear but this all happens in park havent been able to drive it since i need tires

    i have the carb on the car and have started it the only issue i have is a hesitation on quick acceleration otherwise on slow it will rev fine

    i have a stock 318 that had a 2bbl on it ran good with that wanted to switch to a 4bbl was told a 600cfm dp would work good on it would that carb b worth my time tuning it to my engine or should i put it on the shelf and get a different carb if so what would b a wise choice for it?

    ya i dont hear no noises from it and its held up so far done a few hard take offs when the car had a 2bbl now has a 4bbl and just needs to b tuned and hopefully it holds up to it then

    I figured it out since my truck has a "spark computer" and originally one wire went from there to the neg side of coil and I guess my coil was to much for it so I took it off and it ran alot better

    I drove it runs like crap. I adjusted the advance curve on it and it feels good when idling but as soon as I go down the road it's just sputtering non stop

    That's exactly how I wired it as they show in the instructions of the dist. Since the truck sat for almost a yr I'm kinda thinking its the gas in the truck is bad but I'm not totally sure

    Before I bought the dist and coil summit and msd told me that it doesn't plug into the stock harness cause my stock dist is a dual pick up coil. The msd wiring is on wire goes to coil positive other goes to coil neg another to engine ground and the last wire is a tach signal

    Ok this is on my truck. I had the engine out so I can reseal it and put a new oil pump in. I put a new timing chain and gear set in with an msd dist and coil. I got it started and timed right I go to rev it up and sputters and dies down if I hold throttle still but if I play with the throttle...

    well it has the 7.25 rear end which is what i was meaning by small rear end but i do know that it is a 5 by 4.5 bolt pattern

    There's only 2 wires that go to the dist nd as for comp there's only one on the air cleaner and that I believe just measure air intake or something

    to b honest idk if this engine has the original chain and gear set. the engine in car is not the original one the engine i was told from a '68 pickup
