How do you ensure that the gasoline that you purchase is the best quality?

I agree with Big.J, But we have a hard time finding ethanol free gas up here in Northern Ohio. I only found one place close to me in Twinsburg Oh. (Sheets). We are getting screwed with this garbage gas as it eats our engine components and has no shelf life !

Adding Bronze Bushings to Ductile Iron Rockers

I recently had a failure on a bronze bushed aftermarket Crane iron BB rocker on the dyno. Half of the bushing came out and tied up the rocker which in turn caused the lash cap to spit out. Luckily we caught it right away and was able to replace the rocker and finish dynoing. I have been looking...

    Small block w/ 3.79 crank

We used big block chevy forgings in our SBM and the rod length was 6.442, reground rod journal on crank to small chevy of coarse. Maybe an other head producer in the game.

You can't find a better guy alive than Larry Meaux to give an opinion on what you are doing ! He is the KING of cyl. head flow and how to make power, just ask Chad Speier who's another great cyl' head flow guy. Watch out for his SS/GTFA Cavalier this year with a 1970 LT-1 350 combo in NHRA.

    Any Old School Machinists Here?

As long as the base of the boring bar is perpendicular there's no harm in setting it up and indicating the front main and the last one to see if the bar travels as it should. Again indicating BEFORE cutting will take some extra time. Do you know someone that works in a machine shop with a boring...

I just found the same thing with my 440 that I dropped a valve in when I tore it apart. I did not assemble the engine, it came in the car I bought. Looks like the ring rode along and did not kill the cyl. wall, amazing !

Busy day in the shop, cooking late night.

Yes the Rao's is more $$ but just like buying good motor oil for your engine ! Look at the ingredients on everything you buy and stay AWAY from High Fructose Corn Syrup, you can find products without that poison. Your body will thank you !
