IMO I would say that the head gasket was not properly sealed at initial start up. And I agree with 412 you are lucky if it is just water. That really sucks about that new motor though.

I would much rather my engine run cool than hot. I also replaced my thermostat with a 160 my car runs about 160-170 during the winter and right at 200 in summer when it gets to 110+ outside here in so cal. You shouldn't worry

That kit number comes up as a subpak which is the gaskets and seals. K12900G looks to be the overhaul kit you need. The paper and rubber kit (which I believe is the gaskets and seals) is K12900G-1.

Does anybody have pictures of where they added a ground wire to there cluster? None of my lights work on my 69 cuda and I have heard its from a lack of ground I have a new headlight switch in it and the fuse is good and most of the bulbs are good. Thanks for any help or advice
