    Krylon and Elbow Grease

I decided to repaint my Duster hood this winter, it was painted with Krylon originally and looked really bad. I put 3 coats on then sanded with 1200, 2000, 3000, and 5000 grit and finally polishing compound and it turned out pretty good. I still need to do the rest of the parts and it wouldn't...

Most popular tach in the 70's and other stuff

My 72 Duster 340 had an in dash Sparkomatic am/fm cassette with under dash 8 track, 40 watt power booster tied to 4 Pioneer 3 way speakers, a 40 channel cb to keep in touch with my crusing buddies, sun super tach II, and both rear side windows were full of stickers to broadcast what was under...

You can have it. Hopefully by the end of the year I will only work when I want, and I don't think that will be very often.

    New Garage / Winter Home

I added a backyard buddy and a new Mopar project to the collection and I have been adding cabinets and work benches when they are on sale. The current project is insulating the old side of the garage where I can do the dirty work like sandblasting and painting. I also acquired a rotisserie as...

    New Garage / Winter Home

I haven't updated this for a while but the heating and air conditioning are up and running fine. I'm setting up a small living room inside with a 55" tv and surround sound system with a few recliners and a couch.

JD, you can buy a drive point for the well. A drive point is a 1 1/4 npt pipe with a point and screened open sides that you screw couplings and galvanized pipe sections on to. I bought a short pipe and a cap to screw on top because as you drive the pipe you will ruin the threads on the top pipe...

I should end up at around 90 in it when it's finished. The walls have 1.5 inches of pink foam and 6 inches of pink Fiberglass with 8 inches of blown in insulation in the ceiling. I bought a used heat pump central air unit with propane backup for heat and air. We plan on living in it on the...

My son bought a 2015 Challenger

One of my salesmen bought a 2015 red, I think it's a SE. For a 6 banger it is really surprising how fast it is. Your son is a lucky guy.

    Carpet Question

I bought new carpet from Summit in about 2008, I think it was ACC carpet but the box is long gone. I am finally getting around to putting it in now. Will the carpet lose its shape over time if you don't install it? The carpet is supposed to be pre formed but it has almost no shape, really sucks...

    What would you give....

After seeing that video I think I would run. All of our compressors at work have timed drain valves that release the water every 20 minutes.

    What would you give....

If you get a chance, hook the tank to pressure from the other compressor to check for leaks. The second test is unhook the belt and turn the pulley on the head, you should be able to tell if I makes air or it's locked up, if it turns freely it should be rebuildable. The last thing is the motor...

    New Garage / Winter Home

First day of building, some of the trusses are up. Tomorrow should have a roof and part of the sides covered if the wind stays away. It sounds like my holiday weekend will be roughing in the plumbing so they can pour the floor.

    New Garage / Winter Home

This is at 1:00 today, they said they will have some trusses up today depending on wind. The inside is about 12' 4'' high, just enough for a lift. I'm going to order a backyard buddy lift in a week or so.

46 X 40 is a nice size, it really doesn't matter how big you build they always end up too small. I will end up with a machine shop in part of it, after retirement I need hobby money.

Anybody own any other cars beside Mopar?

Other than the list below I have a 2013 lariet power stroke, 2010 Lincolin MKS, 2006 Toyota Solara convert., and my daily driver beater car a 2003 sport trac. I guess I like them all.

    Collector Car Insurance

I changed to Haggerty last fall, I have 9 cars with them, they will also do stated value on new cars which is what I needed. If you have a newer car that is for limited use you don't have to worry about taking it up the shorts if something happens to it, and the cost is about the same as regular...

I'm hoping it will be big enough that I won't have to build any more for a while. We want to build a house next year and sell the one that we have now, if we do I will need a three or four stall on the house because I have eight car storage at the house that i have now and I will be losing it...
