Thanks to all on this, I bought the tool and the panels came off with ease.

Yeah, I know it won't be easy. It's a manual set up and the glass, seals and gaskets are ok but where that guy put the signs on the tailgate covers up some gaping holes. I might have to leave it like that for now but someone has one somewhere, these aren't extinct yet.

This has a slant 6 from a 72. Previous owner also changed the tranny and steering column to auto on the column (no more push button). The bright side is that i found a hood and it should be here by the end of the week. rust free and no idiocy attached to it.

Figured it would happen but taking off the idiotic signs on the tailgate revealed huge rot holes. Need tailgate with or out without glass.
