    Dart Rear Extensions

Yes that's almost what its like plumbers putty on the inside holes by the studs. And I believe it's best to leave them separated when you paint and bolt together after so the paint doesn't fill the crack if that makes sense.

    1974 Scamp

Nice really NICE !! I always thought white chrome and orange look great in the engine bay! How about some pics of the trunk area with paint on it I would like to see what those wheel wells look like? And thanks for posting keep it going.

Firewall harness clips, should they stay, or should they go?

I would go the stainless route either pop rivet or screw I would choose rivet. The Aluminum is easy to drill out but you have to be aware that Aluminum and steel don"t like each other and they corrode bad and in some cases quite quickly. You might be able to paint them to help this but I would...

you knew it was coming (sp?)

If when the video is done you click on the first Utube window the Japanees love industry it explains a lot ( some weird stuff). Most people over there don't want a relationship. They have the largest population over 65 and the least population under 15 .They expect to have a major population...

    Formula 1 ?

I believe that they have to make the rules so they use stock cars again . They need to limit it to 4 cylinders and allow them to run them wide open without restrictors. You will still be bored to death with the turn left racing but at least we would get some good cars coming out of it again...

    To weld up or not???

What do you guys do with the quarter panel seam where it meets the sill just below the bottom of the door? I see some leave it original and some fill it . I'm leaning towards welding and putting in a little fill . Thoughts ideas suggestions??

    THE BIG DOG BUILD (Scamp)

Lay in both wheel wells the trunk pan and extensions and I changed the rear over to a 70-73 style so I had that panel out also trying to get it all to fit together correctly.

    THE BIG DOG BUILD (Scamp)

Thanks! I wouldn't dare count how many times the finished wheelwells went in and out before I was finished to make them fit. For some reason I can't find any pictures of the driverside being done. This area of the project became a very long drawn out process I got stalled out many times I just...

    THE BIG DOG BUILD (Scamp)

And just for the record you couldn't buy these when I made them! The next is the quarter panel side I wanted them so that they would come down the inside and bend in just as the originls do .This creates quite a problem as the wheelwell has a curviture to it that rolls in as the quarter goes to...

    THE BIG DOG BUILD (Scamp)

The next piece is the frame side of the wheelwell lots of friggin, screwing, tacking and hammer and dollying to get it where I wanted it.

    THE BIG DOG BUILD (Scamp)

Finished the buck now to cover it. I ran a piece from one end to the other it needed to be cut in some places to get the shape. But I got basically the top front and back . I know even my best friend is saying what the hell are you doing ?

    THE BIG DOG BUILD (Scamp)

Lots of jig sawing and scewing got the basic shape that I wanted.

    THE BIG DOG BUILD (Scamp)

So what did I do ? I was sure I wanted to take up all the area from the fender to the frame just as the widened ones I did fit . I cut up some card board and made some templates then I started to make a wooded buck to shape my wheel wells.

    THE BIG DOG BUILD (Scamp)

So like I said I decided to make my own wheel wells. In hindsight I maybe should have done them like I see them done with the trailer fenders but I was thinking I wanted mine to look original :banghead: And still part way though the first one I wasn't sure if I like it or not and I almost...
